\n This may scare the you-know-what out of you.<\/p>\n

A Texas man\u2019s trip<\/a> to the bathroom turned into a nightmare after a snake allegedly slithered right out of his toilet, as seen in a skin-crawling viral video with 2.3 million views.<\/p>\n

The clip was posted to Twitter<\/a> on August 16 by CBS meteorologist Payton Malone, who claimed his friend had recorded the revolting scene. \u201cI always thought this was an irrational fear of mine . . . app<\/a>arently not,\u201d Malone wrote.<\/p>\n

Indeed, the freaky 30-second footage shows the mottled serpent creeping out of the bowl while the videographer coaxes it along with a golf club. We just hope the poor soul wasn\u2019t on the john when he discovered it.<\/p>\n

Either way, the \u201cplumber\u2019s snake\u201d had social-media ophidiophobes heading for the hills.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would have a new bathroom,\u201d tweeted one aghast commenter of the herpetological horror show.<\/p>\n

Some Twitter wits joked that the inter-loo-per was a sure sign of the apocalypse.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhoa hold on toilet snakes aren\u2019t on the 2020 schedule until October,\u201d quipped one social-media comedian. \u201cAugust was fire tornado month, September is machine gun potatoes. The toilet snakes are early!\u201d<\/p>\n

Another shared a similar story from one of their dad\u2019s co-workers, who had a venomous copperhead snake \u201cbump his testicles when he was on the toilet. He jumped up, ran out of the room, grabbed his firearm . . . & blew the hell out of his toilet & shower.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s unclear what species this particular privacy-violating reptile is, although some commenters have speculated that it is a Great Plains Ratsnake, a nonvenomous serpent native to the south central United States. Malone has since confirmed to NDTV that the snake was indeed harmless, and was released safely outside after being captured.<\/p>\n

Naturally, some Twitter skeptics have questioned the video\u2019s veracity with one even speculating the snake was \u201cplaced in the toilet.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, this wouldn\u2019t be the first time a serpent has surfaced in someone\u2019s commode. In January, a Thai woman\u2019s worst fears came true after she was bitten by a snake while sitting on the throne.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
