\n The brother of the driver who was assaulted by a group of Black Lives Matter protesters in Portland is raising money for his sibling\u2019s recovery and destroyed property \u2014 and to potentially allow him to move out of the city.<\/p>\n

Brian Haner launched a GoFundMe fundraiser for his brother, Adam, who was beaten unconscious by the mob Sunday night.<\/p>\n

\u201cAdam was trying to help someone and was then attacked,\u201d Brian wrote on the page that\u2019s received more than $100,000 in donations as of Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n

\u201cHoping this money will help Adam get things together for his life after the attack he suffered.\u201d<\/p>\n

The caught-on-camera attack shows protesters yanking Adam out of his crashed Ford 4\u00d74 truck, then assaulting him on the ground. Witnesses said Adam was trying to help a transgender woman being assaulted by the mob.<\/p>\n

Brian said his brother has \u201calways been cynical about the world at large,\u201d saying the alleged assault will \u201cbe an awakening experience\u201d for him.<\/p>\n

\u201cMaybe he will use some of this money to move out of Portland, or just use it to move up,\u201d Brian wrote. \u201cI really don\u2019t care what he uses it for. He would give the shirt off his back to help any of the people around him, and he really didn\u2019t deserve what happ<\/a>ened to him in Portland.\u201d<\/p>\n

Police have identified the man who allegedly kicked Adam in the head and knocked him unconscious as Marquise Love, 25. They have urged him to turn himself in.<\/p>\n

Adam was treated at the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries and released, police said.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, Brian wrote that Adam was \u201cstill very dazed\u201d and was interviewing with a detective.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe doesn\u2019t remember everything that has happened,\u201d Brian wrote, sharing photos of Adam with bruises on his body and two black eyes. \u201cHe thought his truck only had a dent in it.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
