The Detroit native has been working on becoming the best version of himself lately, and the project reflects that journey.<\/p>\n<p>Set to drop on October 14, <em>Chapters of the Trenches<\/em> is a collection of 13 songs that each tell a different story, yet are all connected by a central <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">theme<\/a>. These stories are centered around what happens in the hood: gun violence, hustling, love, family and more. Grizzley takes listeners deep into the trenches to tell the stories that so many people from the hood can relate to, but don\u2019t necessarily speak about.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mobile outerAdHatch\">\n<div class=\"ad-border\">\n<div class=\"innerAdHatch\" inserted=\"shortcode\">\n<div id=\"contentUnit200\" class=\"adUnits\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><script>\n                        if(isMobile){\n                            window.catalyst.cmd.push(\"loadAds\", [[\"incontent\", \"contentUnit200\", \"section_post_inarticle\"]]);\n                        }\n                    <\/script><br \/>\nFor Tee Grizzley to drop a project like this, he had to grow within himself. Instead of focusing on material wealth and success that the rap industry loves to amplify, Grizzley realized he needed to infuse life lessons into his music.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat was such a special time in my life,\u201d the Detroit native tells <em>HipHopDX<\/em> while reflecting on his 2016 breakout single \u201cFirst Day Out.\u201d\u00a0\u201cI was fresh out of prison to the point where I didn\u2019t even care about the fame and stuff, I was just happy to be free.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo now, at this point, I just really want to capture people and get them something to fall in love with and get them something to go tell people about.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Tee Grizzley -  &quot;First Day Out&quot; [Official Music Video]\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/pWh4O6ujK4o?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Tee Grizzley says he\u2019s more excited than usual for his fans to hear what he\u2019s cooked up with <em>Chapters of the Trenches<\/em>. How he created the album was different from any approach he took with his previous work, and that alone has him ready for fans to immerse themselves in his true-to-life stories.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s been a minute since I\u2019ve really been excited about one of my own projects because it\u2019s been the same for a while, like just go in there and make music, shoot some videos, put it together, call it an album,\u201d he says. \u201cBut now, with this one, I\u2019m doing something different. Grizzley has been blessed with so much in the last two years \u2014 the birth of his first child, getting married and running a lucrative video <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a> side-hustle \u2014 that there was nothing else for him to do besides give back.<\/p>\n<p>Being a parent and a husband comes with a lot of responsibility, in addition to other \u201creal-life shit,\u201d and because of that, Tee Grizzley was able to elevate his artistry from simply enhancing his pen game to rapping from a perspective different than his own.<\/p>\n<p><em>Chapters of the Trenches<\/em> wouldn\u2019t have happened if Tee Grizzley didn\u2019t drop \u201cRobbery Part 3\u201d earlier this year. The song was part of his beloved \u201cRobbery\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a>, which started in 2020. The storytelling enamored fans throughout the first two installments, and he decided to push his creativity even further.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe inspiration for this project was the fan engagement on \u2018Robbery Part 3\u2019,\u201d Grizzley says. \u201cWhen I saw how much people was fucking with it, I\u2019m like, \u2018You know what? They really like the stories, and I know I can give them different stories.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He adds: \u201cThe type of shit that goes on in the trenches, it ain\u2019t just robberies, so that\u2019s how I came up with <em>Chapters of the Trenches<\/em>. It\u2019s just all the scenarios that you could think of that happens like that. As he puts it, these songs are relatable and offer comfort to anyone who feels alone in the struggle.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt feels good because now you know that you\u2019re offering some type of comfort with this music,\u201d Grizzley says. \u201cA lot of people that go through stuff, they feel like they\u2019re the only person in the world that\u2019s going through that when really, a lot of us go through a lot of shit at the same time. So I just want them to feel good and know that somebody understands them and their situation.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"mobile outerAdHatch\">\n<div class=\"ad-border\">\n<div class=\"innerAdHatch\" inserted=\"shortcode\">\n<div id=\"contentUnit400\" class=\"adUnits\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><script>\n                        if(isMobile){\n                            window.catalyst.cmd.push(\"loadAds\", [[\"incontent\", \"contentUnit400\", \"section_post_inarticle\"]]);\n                        }\n                    <\/script><br \/>\nFans may want to pay close attention to two of Tee Grizzley\u2019s favorite records on the project: the three-part series \u201cJay &amp; Twan\u201d and \u201cShakespeare\u2019s Classic.\u201d The former is a wild story about two friends looking for a come-up, while the latter is a modern retelling of the Shakespeare classic <em>Romeo and Juliet<\/em>, which also happens to be one of the rapper\u2019s favorite stories growing up.<\/p>\n<p>Everything on the album was well thought out, from its name down to the individual songs. According to Grizzley, the title was a deliberate choice and might just mark the beginning of another series in his discography. So I felt like that title gave me the opportunity to come back again with that same title, just different stories.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tee Grizzley has already released three songs and their accompanying music videos from the project. \u201cRobbery 4\u201d and \u201cJay &amp; Twan 1\u201d have been out for a few weeks, while the controversial \u201cMs. Evans\u201d was unleashed on Tuesday (September 27). To keep fans engaged, Grizzley says you can\u2019t reveal everything at once, and you have to leave room for people to want more from your product. With <em>Chapters if the Trenches<\/em> and its innovative rollout, the rapper is able to see his dreams come to life.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat I really wanted to accomplish is have that feeling when a new movie or a new series comes out and you see people that you know ask you, \u2018Hey, you saw that shit?&#8217;\u201d Grizzley says. \u201cEverybody is watching it at the same time, everybody is talking about it. That\u2019s the effect I want to have. Like the new <em>Game of Thrones<\/em> just came out or something.
