During the interview, Williams brought up about Braun\u2019s recent conflict with Taylor Swift, whose catalog he acquired in 2019 from her former label, Big Machine. Swift referred to the acquisition as her \u201cworst-case scenario\u201d at the time and said she was \u201csad and grossed out\u201d by the way it had been handled in an impassioned Tumblr post. Shortly thereafter, she decided to re-record her early albums in order to reclaim ownership over them.<\/p>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<p>            \u201cWhen you bought the rights to Taylor Swift\u2019s masters, it turned into a really big thing,\u201d Williams said in the new interview, somewhat understating a scenario that Braun has said led to multiple death threats being aimed at him and his family after Swift directed her fans to contact Braun and former Big Machine owner Scott Borchetta about the deal. \u201cIf you could go back in time\u2026 Would you have handled it differently?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>            \u201cYes, I would\u2019ve. I learned an important lesson from that,\u201d Braun responded. \u201cI think a lot of things got lost in translation. I think that when you have a conflict with someone, it\u2019s very hard to resolve it if you\u2019re not willing to have a conversation. So the regret I have there is that I made the assumption that everyone, once the deal was done, was going to have a conversation with me, see my intent, see my character, and say \u2018Great, let\u2019s be in business together.\u2019 I made that assumption with people that I didn\u2019t know, and I learned\u2026 that I can never make that assumption again.<\/p>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<p>            \u201cIn any conflict, you can say, \u2018I didn\u2019t do anything, It\u2019s their fault!,\u2019\u201d he went on. \u201cAnd you could be right, you could be justified. You could say, \u2018This is unfair, I\u2019m being treated unfairly,\u2019 or you can say, \u2018OK, I\u2019m being treated unfairly. I don\u2019t like how this is feeling. I can\u2019t fix this, so how am I going to look at it and learn from it?\u2019<\/p>\n<p>            \u201cI didn\u2019t <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>reciate how that all went down. I thought it was unfair. But I also understand, from the other side, they probably felt it was unfair, too. So I choose to look at it as a learning lesson, a growing lesson, and I wish everyone involved well. And I\u2019m rooting for everyone to win because I don\u2019t believe in rooting for people to lose.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>            Swift\u2019s claims that Braun subjected her to \u201cincessant, manipulative bullying\u2026 for years,\u201d and that he and Borschetta were holding her music hostage to stop her from re-recording it, were not addressed in the interview.
