This will work on Windows 11, Windows 10, Windows 8, and Windows 7.<\/p>\n<p>Nowadays, most sound cards have the ability to record whatever is being output. The only hang-up is accessing that recording channel. Depending on your PC, the recording channel may be named \u201cStereo Mix,\u201d while on other devices it will be called \u201cWhat U Hear\u201d or something very similar.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Enable_Stereo_Mix_or_What_U_Hear\"><\/span>Enable Stereo Mix or What U Hear<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>You can\u2019t control your system\u2019s sound devices very effectively through the sound options in the Settings <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a> \u2014 for this, we need the old Sound settings window found in the Control Panel.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re using Windows 10 or an older version of Windows, all you need to do is right-click the audio icon on your Taskbar and click \u201cSounds.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-835662\" data-pagespeed-lazy-src=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/right-click-audio-button.png?trim=1,1&amp;bg-color=000&amp;pad=1,1\" alt=\"\" width=\"285\" height=\"213\" src=\"\/pagespeed_static\/1.JiBnMqyl6S.gif\" onload=\"pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\" onerror=\"this.onerror=null;pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The \u201cSounds\u201d option isn\u2019t available in Windows 11. There usually isn\u2019t much you can do about that, unless you happen to find a different version of the drivers that have those features, or you write your own drivers.<\/p>\n<p>Stereo Mix has been going by the wayside for years and isn\u2019t present on many newer PCs. What U Hear is more common, but it isn\u2019t universal either \u2014 so how do you record your system audio if neither are available to you?<\/p>\n<p>You need to use a third-party program.
