The Amazon empire founder credited the actor with igniting his interest in space <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/trip-and-travel\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp; Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">travel<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The 91-year-old was one of four crew members aboard the New Shepard rocket for the NS-18 mission. It took off from Launch Site One in West Texas. The Emmy winner recalled his experience in a new book titled\u00a0\u201cBoldly Go: Reflections on a life of Awe and Wonder.\u201d\u00a0In it, Shatner wrote that his trip to space \u201cwas supposed to be a celebration.\u201d Instead, it \u201cfelt like a funeral.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen I landed and came out of the spaceship, I was overwhelmed by a feeling and I started to weep,\u201d Shatner recalled to Fox <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">News<\/a> Digital. \u201cI didn\u2019t know what I was crying about. And it took me a couple of hours to be by myself to figure out what\u2019s the matter with me. And then I realized I was in grief for this beautiful world that I could see more clearly from up in space\u2026 This planet that took 5 billion years to evolve into what it is now. And all the multitude of things that we human beings can love and be aware of that are so beautiful. Never mind the elephants and the great predators and all that stuff\u2026 but the stuff today. The child, your fingers. Hooker\u201d and \u201cBoston Legal,\u201d along with the original \u201cStar Trek\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a> and films. However, these days, Shatner is not thinking about Hollywood. And it still doesn\u2019t matter if you have a belief system, which I envy\u2026 I see the vibrating connection of the universe of which we are a part of. And it would seem likely to me\u2026 we are made of stardust, and we return to stardust.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut the question that we will always ask is, what h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ens to this thing? We are talking about death and anticipating death. And I don\u2019t know of any other animal that might do that. Elephants mourn. They take the bones of [other] dead elephants. They know something. They know that there\u2019s a concept of death there, I think. But I don\u2019t think they ask, \u2018Where does the soul go? Where does that life energy go?\u2019\u2026 Of course, nobody knows.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo the question is, where does the life force go?\u201d Shatner shared. \u201cSome people call it a soul, some people call it whatever. Where does that energy go? There\u2019s such passion in life that\u2026 it\u2019s everywhere\u2026 And everything in life has a passion to live. So, you think that\u2019s only on this little rocky planet?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u2026 I\u2019ve been playing with this idea of how connected we all are to the universe and, even more specifically, how deeply the connections to our world that we are,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/entertainment\/genres\/books\">In his book<\/a>, Shatner wrote that despite his overwhelming feelings of grief, his experience traveling to space gave him \u201chope to my heart.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn this insignificance we share, we have one gift that other species perhaps do not: we are aware \u2014 not only of our insignificance, but the grandeur around us that makes us insignificant,\u201d he wrote. \u201cThat allows us perhaps a chance to rededicate ourselves to our planet, to each other, to life and love all around us.
