In the skit, cast member <strong>Ego Nwodim<\/strong> and host <strong>Brendan Gleeson<\/strong> portrayed <em>CNN<\/em> reporters. And while the 67-year-old actor as a White House correspondent was supposed to be talking about developments in America\u2019s support of Ukraine, things took a turn when some breaking <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> came in. Brendan interrupted the broadcast to announce that the Try Guys have responded to the viral controversy about Ned, saying:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI\u2019m getting breaking news that the Try Guys have now responded to the whole Ned Fulmer situation. It\u2019s obviously an evolving story, but CNN can confirm that the Try Guys have released an official YouTube video clapping back at ex-Try Guy Ned Fulmer, the \u2018Wife Guy\u2019 Try Guy. He disrespected the brand by making out with one of the \u2018Food Babies\u2019 at the Harry Styles concert. It\u2019s a sad day indeed.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Related: Watch <em>SNL<\/em> Poke Fun At Adam Levine\u2019s Cheating Scandal! <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The skit then cuts to a fake interview with The Try Guys \u2013 <strong>Bowen Yang<\/strong> as <strong>Eugene Lee Yang<\/strong>, <strong>Mikey Day<\/strong> as <strong>Keith Habersberger<\/strong>, and <strong>Andrew Dismukes<\/strong> as<strong> Zach Kornfeld<\/strong> \u2013 to address the situation. During the conversation, a confused Ego questioned why this blew up into such a big scandal, asking if the affair was non-consensual. To which Day replied:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWorse, he committed the heinous act of having a consensual kiss, and not telling us, his friends.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Following some back-and-forth, the reporter eventually attempts to transition back into the newscast. See the <strong>Twitter<\/strong> reactions below:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cOof, rude awakening to SNL that the entire internet is on the Try Guy\u2019s [sic] side. There were so many other ways they could have parodied this, but they went for making the victims the punchline while downplaying workplace harassment. That\u2019s pretty tasteless comedy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis feels reductive of a situation in which there was a big power imbalance in an unethical relationship in the workplace. Not to mention the families, employees and friends hurt by this now have to see their pain being trivialized for a skit? Feels weird.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cthat try guys skit was so tasteless\u2026saying they were overreacting for firing ned when it is so rare for men to face the consequences of their actions in the entertainment industry #snl\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI should not care this much but snl doing a try guys bit where they make fun of NOT Ned but the other three for holding him accountable for all his shit and being hurt by it is so nasty like pls tell me more abt how funny you think a man cheating on his wife with his employee is\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201chm, so let me get this right: ned wasn\u2019t made fun of in the skit, but the other try guys were for processing their emotions? for losing a friend of almost a decade? for potentially losing millions in profit? guess why. ned has a snl writer buddy. this man is a real piece of work.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cif anything,, can we PLEASE stop downplaying it as just a simple cheating scanda . ned fulmer was her BOSS . this was a power imbalance , and companies like SNL are just twisting the narrative for laughs . it\u2019s just stupid ,, and unfair to the remaining try guys as they fight\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cthis skit says way more about snl\u2019s workplace environment than it ever will about the try guys\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cis it just me or is it kinda screwed up that they are making fun of a POWER DYNAMIC of a sexual relationship between a company\u2019s founder and one of its employees??\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDid SNL just gaslight the Try Guys?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cone thing I find really yucky about the snl skit about the try guys on top of downplaying ned\u2019s actions is how much they focused on the specific employee he had a relationship with and named her segment and everything. especially when the try guys asked that she be left alone\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Some members of The Try Guys even reacted to the segment!
