More\u00a0Unsolved Mysterie<\/strong>s<\/em> episodes are on the way. The Netflix reboot of the iconic series<\/a> garnered plenty of buzz when it hit in July, and it came accompanied with the promise of more episodes, and soon. Now we know how soon: October. Not a second season, but rather a second volume, the new\u00a0Unsolved Mysteries<\/em> episodes will drop on October 19<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Ready for even more\u00a0Mysteries<\/em>?\u00a0Unsolved Mysteries<\/em> will be back very soon with new episodes meant to drive viewers crazy with questions. Or, as the show puts it: \u201cIn six new episodes, Unsolved Mysteries profiles more unexplained disapp<\/a>earances, tragic events, and bizarre occurrences. Perhaps one viewer holds the key to solving these cases. Detectives, journalists, and family members offer intriguing theories in this gripping series, from the creators of the original docuseries.\u201d<\/p>\n

I enjoyed the new episodes, although I did miss the presence of the late Robert Stack, and I\u00a0really<\/em> missed the presence of any ghost-themed episodes. The ghost episodes were always my favorite of the original show, and while the reboot had a UFO episode, it wasn\u2019t enough. Thankfully, the new episodes will contain at least one episode devoted to ghosts.<\/p>\n

In an interview released around the debut of the reboot,\u00a0Unsolved Mysteries<\/em>\u00a0executive producer Terry Dunn Meurer said: \u201cYes [there will be a ghost episode]. But I\u2019ll qualify that and say it\u2019s an unusual ghost episode. That\u2019s all I\u2019ll say. It\u2019s different. A bit different.\u201d Not entirely sure what that means, but I\u2019m excited to find out. The ghost episodes were particularly memorable to me in my youth because they were genuinely creepy, even if the \u201cghost effects\u201d weren\u2019t always the highest quality.<\/p>\n

Meurer added:<\/p>\n

\u201cOut of the 12 [episodes] that we\u2019ve produced, three of them are international. Two of the international stories will be in the second [batch of episodes]. Then we look at every other kind of diversity: We\u2019ve got international versus domestic, we have rural versus urban, we have age diversity, we have ethnic and racial diversity. They all have to have a lot of twists and turns and need to be very intriguing. If they\u2019re intriguing to us, we know that they\u2019re going to be intriguing to an audience.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
