\n She wants the hizzoner to be history.<\/p>\n

The newest \u201cReal Housewife of New York,\u201d Leah McSweeney, is so fed up with the city\u2019s rise in crime and homelessness that she wants Mayor Bill de Blasio out of office.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo one thinks he\u2019s doing a good job, and he really should step down,\u201d McSweeney, exclusively told The Post Wednesday. \u201cHis legacy will be ruining New York City for a good amount of time. He\u2019s just in over his head.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 37-year-old native New Yorker and FiDi resident said she reached a tipping point earlier this month after she was nearly attacked in broad daylight while dropping her 13-year-old daughter, Kier, off at Kier\u2019s dad\u2019s house.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m walking out of the building and there was a homeless man walking down the street who was either intoxicated or not well in some way,\u201d she recalled of the incident on Cedar Street. \u201cHe said, \u2018Do you have a dollar?\u2019 I said, \u2018I\u2019m sorry I don\u2019t have any change\u2019 and he went and lunged at me.\u201d<\/p>\n

McSweeney \u2014 who stars in the 12th season of \u201cRHONY\u201d \u2014 was able to jump out of the way and walked as fast as she could in the other direction.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was so drunk that it was easy to jump out of the way,\u201d she said. \u201cBut what if that was my daughter? I have a f\u2013king pubescent daughter and I\u2019m not letting her walk down the street alone right now.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ever since coronavirus hit and FiDi residents cleared out, her downtown streets have grown empty, eerie and unsafe, she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere really is a safety issue in our neighborhood \u2026 that\u2019s without a doubt,\u201d she said. \u201cWe need leadership at a top level, and, obviously, we don\u2019t have leadership right now.\u201d<\/p>\n

One of her qualms with the mayor is that he refuses to open gyms, despite Gov. Andrew Cuomo\u2019s announcement Monday that fitness centers can reopen.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf businesses aren\u2019t open, people won\u2019t be out walking around, and if they aren\u2019t walking around, the streets will continue to be unsafe,\u201d she said, adding that there are safe ways to reopen gyms.<\/p>\n

Determined to demand change, McSweeney vowed to attend a \u201cBuild the Block\u201d meeting held by NYPD\u2019s First Precinct Wednesday afternoon to vent her concerns.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to know what I can do to help \u2014 that\u2019s why I\u2019m going,\u201d she said.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Because unlike many of her \u201cRHONY\u201d colleagues \u2014 who fled to the Hamptons, including Ramona Singer \u2014 she\u2019s here to stay.<\/p>\n

\u201cI refuse to leave \u2014 I\u2019m not going to let that happ<\/a>en,\u201d she said. \u201cInstead, I want to help build this city back up again.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
