The premium electric car maker co-owned by Volvo gave us a teaser image last month, but now we know its first SUV has luxurious good looks and plenty of range, but it\u2019ll be an expensive vehicle when it hits the road in 2023.<\/p>\n<p>The Polestar is an all-electric 5-seater EV that produces up to 517hp and 671 lb-ft torque and will be manufacturered in the United States and one other continent. It starts at\u00a0$83,900, even though Polestar says the starting package is \u201cloaded\u201d with standard equipment and style.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s what Polestar CEO\u00a0Thomas Ingenlath had to say:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>\u201cPolestar 3 is a powerful, design-led electric performance SUV that <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>eals to the senses with a distinct shape while providing excellent driving dynamics. We had to ask ourselves: \u2018what should a modern SUV look like?\u2019 Polestar 3 defines the SUV for the electric age, and in designing it, we addressed some of the fundamentals of the archetype: proportions, stance, and aerodynamics.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>This release is a big step for the brand. Not only is it the first SUV from the company, but Polestar will assemble the 3 at Volvo\u2019s factory in Charleston, South Carolina. This means part of it could qualify for federal EV tax credits. Well, if the company releases a more affordable variant at some point.<\/p>\n<p>As for the specs and features, the base dual-motor Polestar 3 offers around 300 miles of range on a single charge, although a long-range model will also be capable of upwards of 373 miles.\u00a0Polestar claims a 0-62MPH time of 5 seconds from the 483HP dual motor system, a 130MPH top speed, and 250kW fast charging support.<\/p>\n<p>For the first model year, which begins shipping in 2023, all models come with an upgraded\u00a025-speaker audio system from Bowers &amp; Wilkins with Dolby Atmos capability, soft-closing doors, heated steering wheels, an electric steering column, a heads-up display, Pilot Assist driver package, and other goodies. Basically, you\u2019re getting all of the bells and whistles.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 1920px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-133006\" data-pagespeed-lazy-src=\"https:\/\/www.reviewgeek.com\/p\/uploads\/2022\/10\/103e5a09.jpg\" alt=\"Polestar 3 interior\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1080\" src=\"\/pagespeed_static\/1.JiBnMqyl6S.gif\" onload=\"pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\" onerror=\"this.onerror=null;pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\"><span class=\"imagecredit\">Polestar<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The SUV\u2019s OS is Android Automotive on the 14-inch infotainment display you\u2019ll find inside its luxurious interior, which runs on\u00a0Qualcomm\u2019s Snapdragon Cockpit Platform. The Polestar 3 is also one of the first vehicles with NVIDIA\u2019s DRIVE core computer system.<\/p>\n<p>As you can see, this is a high-end vehicle that will likely take on\u00a0electric SUVs like the Tesla Model X, Mercedes-Benz EQE, and the bigger Rivian R1S. I don\u2019t know about you guys, but I think the Polestar 3 looks great from the outside. Either way, this is a\u00a0powerful performance SUV, and you can pre-order your own right now.
