Instead of manually looking for old emails you want to delete or archive, you can set up a filter to do this automatically based on a selected timeframe. We\u2019ll show you how.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Automatically_Archive_or_Delete_Old_Emails\"><\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" name=\"autotoc_anchor_0\">Automatically Archive or Delete Old Emails<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>To get started, head to the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/mail.google.com\/mail\/\">Gmail website<\/a> and sign in with your Google account. Go to the Search box at the top of Gmail and enter the criteria you want to use.<\/p>\n<p>For example, to only archive or delete emails in your inbox, you\u2019ll use <code>label:inbox<\/code> or <code>in:inbox<\/code> before the timeframe. Press Enter or Return.
