In September 2018, Kanye West reignited excitement for the album when he tweeted: \u201cthrone2 coming soon.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Justin Laboy, who became something of a spokesperson for Ye during the rollout for <em>DONDA<\/em>, stoked the fire again last August when he tweeted: \u201cWatch The Throne 2 coming end of the year. Kanye &amp; Hov about to make history AGAIN.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"mobile outerAdHatch\">\n<div class=\"ad-border\">\n<div class=\"innerAdHatch\" inserted=\"shortcode\">\n<div id=\"contentUnit200\" class=\"adUnits\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><script>\n                        if(isMobile){\n                            window.catalyst.cmd.push(\"loadAds\", [[\"incontent\", \"contentUnit200\", \"section_post_inarticle\"]]);\n                        }\n                    <\/script><br \/>\nHowever, concrete evidence suggesting the project is close to being released remains scarce, and while Kanye West and JAY-Z reunited on the <em>DONDA<\/em> track \u201cJail\u201d last year, the former Roc-A-Fella running mates don\u2019t appear to be as close as they once were.<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere in his <em>Drink Champs<\/em> interview, which clocked in at over three hours long, Kanye West stirred more controversy by proclaiming Drake the \u201cgreatest rapper ever,\u201d while also insinuating he had an intimate relationship with his former mother-in-law Kris Jenner.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mobile outerAdHatch\">\n<div class=\"ad-border\">\n<div class=\"innerAdHatch\" inserted=\"shortcode\">\n<div id=\"contentUnit300\" class=\"adUnits\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><script>\n                        if(isMobile){\n                            window.catalyst.cmd.push(\"loadAds\", [[\"incontent\", \"contentUnit300\", \"section_post_inarticle\"]]);\n                        }\n                    <\/script><br \/>\nYe previously alluded to the alleged rendezvous on Instagram earlier this month, writing: \u201cDrake a fuck ya baby mama\u2019s mama[.] That\u2019s real war.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYeah that was hard,\u201d he said after N.O.R.E. quizzed him about the post. \u201cYou know what it mean\u2026 Aye, Corey [Gamble] know what it mean,\u201d he added, referencing Jenner\u2019s longtime boyfriend.<\/p>\n<p>Kanye West first appeared on\u00a0<em>Drink Champs<\/em> in November 2021, where he addressed the original <em>Watch The Throne<\/em> and called JAY-Z \u201cselfish\u201d for refusing to give up solo material for the album.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI took a track off of what was gonna be my album, the follow-up to\u00a0<em>[My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy]<\/em>. It was the \u2018Otis\u2019 sample,\u201d Ye said. \u201cI chopped it up and I was gonna go to Milan to do something in fashion and I was about to be late for the flight \u2026 \u2018Cause I was like, \u2018Yo, we not gonna lose this <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a> no matter what. And I was like, \u2018We need to put this on this album.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He continued: \u201cAnd then he was like, \u2018Nah.\u2019 Everybody knows Jay is very selfish \u2026 We all love him but, you know, he\u2019s very selfish. He\u2019ll say like, \u2018Man, I\u2019m selfish.\u2019 So he wouldn\u2019t give that song.
