Source: TradingView<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Analyst_BTC_volatility_a_%E2%80%9Cmatter_of_time%E2%80%9D\"><\/span>Analyst: BTC volatility a \u201cmatter of time&#8221;<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Data from Cointelegraph Markets Pro and <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tradingview.com\/symbols\/BTCUSD\/?exchange=BINANCE\">TradingView<\/a> captured a lackluster weekend for BTC\/USD as the pair barely moved in out-of-hours trading.<\/p>\n<p>After United States economic data sparked a <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a> of characteristic fakeout events over the week, Bitcoin returned to its original position, and at the time of writing showed no signs of leaving its established range.<\/p>\n<p>For Micha\u00ebl van de Poppe, founder and CEO of trading platform Eight, it was a question of not if, but when unpredictability would return to crypto.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMatter of time until massive volatility is going to kick back into the markets, after four months of consolidation,\u201d he <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CryptoMichNL\/status\/1581612418765099008\">told<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a> followers on the day, adding:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cMajority is still assuming we&#8217;ll continue to go downhill with the markets, but I think that odds of upwards momentum have increased.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The week\u2019s macro figures managed to spark a run to one-week highs for BTC\/USD, with another popular commentator, the pseudonymous il Capo of Crypto, maintained that a bear market relief rally could see $21,000 return before downside continued.<\/p>\n<p>In a Twitter update prior to the weekly close, they\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CryptoCapo_\/status\/1581617432191729672\">revealed<\/a> a belief that the \u201centire market\u201d was about to gain.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCapitulation will h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>en, but not yet,\u201d they\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CryptoCapo_\/status\/1581683963508457472\">added<\/a> in part of a subsequent discussion on the market outlook.<\/p>\n<p>With that, Bitcoin was in line to finish the second week of \u201cUptober\u201d <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.coinglass.com\/today\">down 1.5%<\/a> versus the start of the month \u2014 its worst performance since 2018 and far short of its 40% 2021 gains.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2022-10\/bbb64fd9-b8a8-47ce-a267-54fae0ef4671.png\"><figcaption style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>BTC\/USD monthly returns chart (screenshot).
