While it was well out of reach, she could still see it and wanted it back \u2013 badly.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt first, it hasn\u2019t sunk into me [that] it\u2019s gonna be that hard to get the phone out,\u201d she told The Post on Sunday. <\/p>\n<p>She went to cops, firefighters and Times Square security, to no avail, before someone suggested going to the nearby MTA booth Saturday. The booth attendant told her workers were coming but that it might take some time before staff arrives on a busy Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>No one came, even as she and friends waited hours, she said. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>She then got some string and magnets to try to pull the phone up on her own. Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">App<\/a>le until she retrieved her cellphone.                                <\/figcaption><span class=\"inline-slideshow__credit meta meta--byline\">G.N.Miller\/NYPost<\/span><br \/>\n                                                    <\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>She finally went back to the MTA booth again pleading for help and even changed her Sunday flight to Monday morning to give her more time. <\/p>\n<p>This time she got results.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen [MTA workers] finally showed, they\u2019re like, \u2018It\u2019s been here since Friday, why did you not call us?\u2019 I was like, \u2018I tried.\u2019 I called 511, 311, 911, everybody, and nobody could help me. I was so helpless,\u201d Hicks said. \u201cCops \u2014 they\u2019re just laughing at me.
