<i>COMETA<\/i> drops this Friday (October 21) via ATO Records, and \u201cFeeling Myself\u201d is out now. The new track follows the project\u2019s August lead single \u201cH<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>en,\u201d September\u2019s \u201cVertigo,\u201d and \u201c<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=NgHQn0ElHTU\">M1<\/a>,\u201d which dropped earlier this month.<\/p>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<p>            On an album full of slippery, amorphous cuts, \u201cFeeling Myself\u201d is surprisingly straightforward and upbeat. <i>COMETA<\/i> is full of love songs, but this one might be its purest expression of intense infatuation. \u201cYou got my tongue out of my mouth, tongue out \/ I\u2019m addicted to loving you,\u201d Hakim sings on the chorus, his voice sliding uncontrollably into a joyful howl.<\/p>\n<p>            \u201cI\u2019ve never really written anything that\u2019s like that in terms of the personas,\u201d Hakim says of his novel approach to writing the song, which he calls the most confident of his career. \u201cWhere I\u2019m coming from is always conversational like I\u2019m talking to someone\u2026 I\u2019m being nice to myself and the energy boosting around is confidence and loving yourself in a way that you haven\u2019t really felt in a long time.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<p>            Still, Hakim\u2019s efforts, however sincere, are always sidelong \u2014 never so directly on the nose that they lose their artistic value. He cites Iggy Pop and David Bowie\u2019s collaborative album, <i>The Idiot<\/i>, as inspiration for the new song, and like those two eccentric rock titans, he infuses his heartfelt ballad with a healthy dose of strangeness: a bass line that rushes ever so slightly ahead of the beat, dissonant synths whose overtones cause the entire instrumental to warp around its edges.<\/p>\n<p>            \u201cFeeling Myself\u201d arrives alongside an abstract, collagic visual treatment courtesy of <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/jack.g.ward\/\">Jack Greeley-Ward<\/a> and <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/ana.projects\/\">Ana Projects<\/a>.
