on international flights&#8221;<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h1>\n<div>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignleft\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>American Airlines will phase out its first-class seats for more business-class seating on its long-haul international flights, the company said Thursday. <\/p>\n<p>The airline will offer an upgraded premium experience with the launch of its new \u201cFlagship Suite,\u201d offering passengers a reimagined aircraft interior and premium seating.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In an earnings call Thursday with investors, Vasu Raja, the airline\u2019s chief commercial officer, said first-class seating is being discontinued because \u201cthe customers were not buying it.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>With new deliveries of its Airbus A321XLR and Boeing 787-9 aircraft, debuting in 2024, the Flagship Suite seats will offer air <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/trip-and-travel\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp; The company plans to retrofit 20 of those planes with new interiors starting late 2024.<\/p>\n<p>They will feature 70 Flagship Suites and 44 premium economy ones. Its Airbus A321T fleet, consisting of 16 aircraft, will be aligned with the rest of its A321 fleet, the company added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is mostly a name change. US airline by fleet size, said there are no signs of a slowdown in consumer demand and expects air travel demand to stay \u201crobust\u201d next year. But it warned that its capacity to meet the demand would remain constrained due to delays in aircraft deliveries and a shortage of pilots at its regional partners.<\/p>\n<p>American\u00a0is the latest airline to provide an upbeat demand outlook even as a worsening economic outlook has sparked worries about travel spending.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs we move into 2023, the constraints facing our business today will remain,\u201d Chief Financial Officer Derek Kerr said on an investor call.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\n                        <\/p><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
