That was evident from the red carpet for Chanel\u2019s \u201c1932\u201d dinner in West Hollywood on Thursday, designed to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the iconic house\u2019s inaugural high-jewelry collection. \u201cI have a smoky quartz in this bag,\u201d noted <em>Tick, Tick \u2026 Boom!<\/em> star Alexandra Shipp, with a nod toward the black quilted vanity case on her arm. \u201cI believe in the idea of gemstones raising your vibration and energy, so I always try to have something with me or on me.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    Marion Cotillard, a Chanel No. 5 ambassador since February 2020, agreed that energy can be divined from a treasured jewel. \u201cThere\u2019s something very intimate about jewelry, and when I put on a piece, I always do it with an intention,\u201d the Oscar winner explained before pointing to the Chanel ring she was wearing, designed in a comet-and-stars motif and crafted of diamonds, black ceramic and white gold. \u201cWhen I put this on tonight, I thought, when I see this ring, I\u2019m going to remember to breathe. There\u2019s a wonderful cosmic aspect and energy we can receive from moments like this. It\u2019s also fascinating because it\u2019s a bit mysterious.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    Gabrielle Chanel, a devoted fan of astrology and the cosmos, would have <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>roved of such an idea. Tonight\u2019s exhibition is a modern interpretation of those ideas, and I really appreciate that.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    The 77-piece anniversary collection, aptly dubbed \u201c1932,\u201d harkened back to that original moment with its emphasis on all things celestial, one of Gabrielle Chanel\u2019s favorite themes. Qualley loves the nostalgia and stories behind the pieces she owns \u2014 \u201cSomething passed down to me by my mother or given to me by my father,\u201d she said \u2014 while Smollett embraces a maximalist, \u201cmore is more\u201d style. \u201cI\u2019m the one always asking my stylist, \u2018Can we do a necklace, earrings, rings and a bracelet? And maybe something on the ankle and a belly chain?&#8217;\u201d the <em>Lovecraft Country <\/em>star said with a laugh. \u201cAnywhere I can put a piece of jewelry, that\u2019s what I\u2019m going to do.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    Andra Day, meanwhile, said she\u2019s in the midst of a transition in how she wears jewelry. \u201cBefore it was all about stacking, stacking, stacking, and that Chanel rule of taking off one piece before you leave the house,\u201d said Day, who\u2019s currently working on <em>The Deliverance<\/em>, co-starring Glenn Close and directed by Lee Daniels. \u201cBut right now I\u2019m feeling all about the idea of essence. That\u2019s one of the things I love about Chanel jewelry, that it\u2019s about this great combination of simplicity and innovation.
