That\u2019s when the performer was <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>roached by an unknown individual \u201cwithout prior conversation or provocation,\u201d according to the NYPD spokesperson, and punched in the face. The individual fled the location and Redd was left with a laceration to his face. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    After EMS arrived on the scene, Redd was taken to an area hospital where he was treated and then released. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    <em>THR <\/em>has reached out to reps for Redd and the Comedy Cellar. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    Redd is scheduled to perform at the Comedy Cellar as part of a <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.iamchrisredd.com\/tour\/\">series of evening shows<\/a>, including three on Thursday, Oct. 27. He\u2019s also currently scheduled for an Oct. 30 show at the City Winery. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-instagram wp-block-embed-instagram\"\/>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    Earlier this fall, Redd announced his departure from <em>Saturday Night Live<\/em> ahead of the premiere of its 48th season. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    He was among eight castmembers to leave in one of the biggest cast turnovers in the show\u2019s history. Also exiting prior to the current season were Aidy Bryant, Pete Davidson, Kate McKinnon, Kyle Mooney, Alex Moffat, Melissa Villase\u00f1or and featured player Aristotle Athari. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    Redd first joined the show during the 2017-2018 season as a featured player before being promoted in 2019 to the main cast. During his time on the show, his work on the song \u201cCome Back Barack\u201d earned him an Emmy for outstanding music and lyrics in 2018. He shared that honor with fellow lyricists Kenan Thompson and Will Stephen, as well as composer Eli Brueggemann.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    Outside of <em>SNL<\/em>, Redd appeared in the NBC <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a> <em>Kenan<\/em> and the Peacock series <em>Bust Down<\/em>.
