\n A woman was killed and two others were hurt when a car got wedged between two light-rail trains in downtown Baltimore early Thursday.<\/p>\n

Three people were trapp<\/a>ed, including a 30-year-old man and a 7-year-old child, following the accident involving two Baltimore Light Rail trains and a car at Howard and Mulberry streets, WJZ reports.<\/p>\n

Two trains were travel<\/a>ing in opposite directions when a car ran a red light at an intersection and crashed into them, officials told the station.<\/p>\n

The man and children were extricated from the vehicle and were treated for non-life-threatening injuries at a hospital, while the woman was pronounced dead at the scene, WJZ reports. It is unclear who was driving the car.<\/p>\n

The identities of the victims in the 7:30 a.m. wreck were not immedia<\/a>tely released, the Baltimore Sun reports.<\/p>\n

Video from the scene shows firefighters and emergency officials clearing the crash site, which shut down several blocks.<\/p>\n

The Baltimore Fire Department confirmed in a tweet that a woman died in the incident.<\/p>\n

An apparatus was later brought in to lift one of the trains, according to a tweet by a Baltimore firefighters union.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
