A subscription fee is a lot cheaper than a new Xbox or PlayStation! Still, Logitech and Razer hope that you\u2019ll buy their dedicated cloud gaming handhelds, which cost hundreds of dollars.<\/p>\n<p>These cloud gaming handhelds are basically smartphones. <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reviewgeek.com\/130469\/logitech-g-cloud-gaming-handheld-arrives-this-october-for-349\/\">Logitech\u2019s G Cloud handheld runs an outdated version of Android and uses a years-old Snapdragon chipset. It can even install apps and games from the Google Play store! (Though it doesn\u2019t support mobile networking, which is a bit odd.)<\/p>\n<p>That said, the Logitech G Cloud may offer a better cloud gaming experience than a smartphone. Not only does it have an integrated controller, but it uses a custom Android launcher (basically a custom home screen) and has a 16:9 display (the same aspect ratio as a TV, so it won\u2019t add a letterbox to console <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a>s). Oh, and Razer\u2019s Edge 5G handheld leverages Verizon\u2019s network for mobile cloud gaming!<\/p>\n<p>Are these perks worth a few hundred dollars? For most people, the answer is probably \u201cno.\u201d Your phone is perfectly equipped for cloud gaming, and chances are, you already own a smartphone-compatible gamepad. Nearly any controller will work, though I suggest using one that\u2019s popular and compatible with services like Xbox Cloud Gaming or NVIDIA GeForce NOW.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some cloud gaming controllers for your smartphone:<\/p>\n<p>I strongly suggest using a controller that attaches to the sides of your phone, such as the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Razer-Kishi-Controller-Android-Passthrough-Thumbsticks\/dp\/B086X8DHN2?tag=lsmedia-11676-20\">Razer Kishi<\/a> or <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Backbone-iOS-Mobile-Gamepad-Controller-Certified\/dp\/B08RL7VLKY?tag=lsmedia-11676-20\">Backbone One<\/a>. These devices make your smartphone feel like a Nintendo Switch, they\u2019re incredibly portable, and they often use a wired connection to eliminate lag.<\/p>\n<p>But an Xbox or PlayStation controller will also get the job done. And you can always buy a small, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Anfiner-Controller-Steelseries-SteelSeries-Controllers\/dp\/B07CLJF3V7?tag=lsmedia-11676-20\">affordable adapter<\/a> to clip your smartphone to the top of an Xbox or PlayStation gamepad.<\/p>\n<p>Once you\u2019ve tested cloud gaming on your smartphone, you may decide that a dedicated handheld isn\u2019t worth the money. You\u2019ll quickly know which service is right for you, especially if you\u2019re already an Amazon Prime or Xbox Game Pass subscriber.<\/p>\n<p>Here are the three big cloud gaming services:<\/p>\n<p>For most people, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/redirect.viglink.com\/?key=204a528a336ede4177fff0d84a044482&amp;u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.xbox.com%2Fen-US%2Fxbox-game-pass&amp;cuid=xid:{xid}&amp;___trxnet=vg\">Xbox Cloud Gaming<\/a> is the way to go\u2014it has a wide selection of games, it only charges you a dollar for your first month, and since it\u2019s tied to Game Pass Ultimate, it unlocks a ton of free games for your Xbox or PC.<\/p>\n<p>The second most popular cloud gaming service, NVIDIA GeForce NOW, is the best option for hardcore PC gamers. GeForce NOW lets you stream titles you already own in your Steam or Epic library, and it offers the highest-quality graphics of any cloud gaming platform. (Also, GeForce NOW offers a free tier!)<\/p>\n<p>And, of course, Amazon Luna offers several free games to Prime subscribers. But Luna doesn\u2019t always match the performance of Xbox Cloud Gaming or NVIDIA GeForce NOW, and its best games hide behind an extra monthly fee.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, cloud gaming requires a decent internet connection.
