Haitong International Tech Research.<\/p>\n<p> The tech giant\u2019s augmented- and virtual-reality moves are being closely monitored, with Apple<br \/>\n        AAPL,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/202934861\/composite\" class=\"negative\">-0.19%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       reportedly working on an AR\/VR standalone headset and AR glasses for everyday wear.<\/p>\n<div class=\"paywall\">\n       In a note reported by <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/9to5mac.com\/2022\/06\/12\/apples-ar-glasses-coming-late-2024\/\" class=\"icon none\">PC Mag<\/a> earlier this year, Pu said the glasses would be announced in late 2024. However, he now believes that they will debut later than that. \u201cWe now expect the AR Glass to be postponed to 2025-2026, due to design issues,\u201d he said in an email to MarketWatch.<\/p>\n<p>Apple has been teasing AR for a number of years, fueling talk about the company\u2019s plans for glasses. Citing analyst Ming Chi-Kuo, MacRumors\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.macrumors.com\/2021\/03\/07\/kuo-apple-mixed-reality-headset-2022\/\" class=\"icon none\">reported<\/a>\u00a0last year that Apple AR glasses could appear by 2025.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Now read<\/strong>: Apple CEO Tim Cook predicts AR will have \u2018profound\u2019 impact, downplays metaverse<\/p>\n<p>In a recent interview with the Dutch <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a> outlet\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.rtlnieuws.nl\/tech\/artikel\/5336713\/apple-ceo-topman-tim-cook-interview-augmented-reality-onderwijs-programmeren\" class=\"icon none\">Bright<\/a>, Apple\u00a0CEO Tim Cook described augmented reality as a \u201cprofound <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/technology\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"4\" title=\"Technology\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">technology<\/a>\u201d that will affect everything. Apple is\u00a0expected\u00a0to announce its own AR\/VR headset in the coming months, with the device likely available next year.<\/p>\n<p>Apple has not yet responded to a request for comment from MarketWatch on its plans for AR glasses.<\/p>\n<p>The global VR market was valued at $21.83 billion in 2021 and is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 15% between 2022 and 2030, according to data from <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.grandviewresearch.com\/industry-analysis\/virtual-reality-vr-market\" class=\"icon none\">Grand View Research<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>But Paolo Pescatore, technology analyst at PP Foresight, told MarketWatch that the market for VR and AR is still nascent. \u201cIt still feels like a solution looking for a problem,\u201d he said via email. \u201cWhile there seem to be numerous use cases, adoption and awareness remain lackluster.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Opinion:\u00a0<\/strong>Apple, more than Meta, holds the key to unlocking a \u2018metaverse\u2019-type world of AR<\/p>\n<div id=\"cx-membership-tile\"><\/div>\n<p>Nonetheless, there is scope for a wearable device that would connect to an iPhone, potentially opening up a \u2018metaverse\u2019-style world of AR.
