In keeping with common practice, the justices\u2019 vote count was not made public.<\/p>\n<p>Chinn was convicted and sentenced to death for an aggravated murder he committed in 1989. He maintains that prosecutors failed to inform him that their key witness had a serious intellectual disability, which he claims would have undermined the jury\u2019s confidence in the witness\u2019s credibility.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJustices Jackson and Sotomayor recognized the injustice in upholding Davel Chinn\u2019s conviction and death sentence when the State suppressed exculpatory evidence that, based on the Ohio Courts\u2019 own representations, was likely to result in an acquittal,\u201d said Rachel Troutman, an attorney for Chinn. \u201cOhio must not exacerbate the mistakes of the past by pursuing Mr. Chinn\u2019s execution.\u201d \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Officials with the Ohio attorney <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/general\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"General\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">general<\/a>\u2019s office did not im<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>tely respond to a request for comment.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr2_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>Jackson was sworn in as the Supreme Court\u2019s newest member in June.<\/p>\n<p><em>Updated at 11:55 a.m.<\/em>\n<\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
