Each of the acclaimed titles, which also h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>en to be Oscar contenders for the 2023 Academy Awards in the best\u00a0international\u00a0feature category, received EFA nominations for best European film, best director, best screenwriter and an acting category apiece.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    Also in the running for the 2021 EFA for best European film are <em>Alcarr\u00e0s<\/em> from Spain\u2019s Carla Sim\u00f3n and Austrian director Marie Kreutzer\u2019s period drama <em>Corsage<\/em>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    The European honors are keenly watched in Hollywood as a bellwether for the Oscars. Last year, Florian Zeller\u2019s <em>The Father<\/em> received three EFA noms on its way to earning six Oscar nominations and two wins, including best adapted screenplay and best actor for star Anthony Hopkins.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    French filmmaker Alice Diop joins the frontrunners in the best director category with her acclaimed fictional filmmaking debut, <em>Saint Omer<\/em>, as does Poland\u2019s Jerzy Skolimowski with his big-screen love letter to the humble donkey, <em>EO<\/em>, and Kreutzer with <em>Corsage<\/em>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    Kenneth Branagh also broke through in the best screenplay category for his 2021 period drama <em>Belfast<\/em>, as did Sim\u00f3n and her co-writer Arnau Vilar\u00f3 with their work on <em>Alcarr\u00e0s<\/em>. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    Penelope Cruz earned a best European actress nod for performance in <em>Parallel Mothers<\/em>, which also brought her an Oscar nomination earlier this year. The Spanish star is nominated alongside Luxembourgish actress Vicky Krieps from <em>Corsage<\/em>, <em>Holy Spider<\/em>\u2018s Zar Amir Ebrahimi, French screen siren L\u00e9a Seydoux for \u00a0Mia Hansen-L\u00f8ve\u2019s drama <em>One Fine Morning<\/em> and Meltem Kaptan in <em>Rabiye Kurnaz vs. George W.
