He was 31.<\/p>\n<p>While his death was acknowledged in the series, \u201cGlee\u201d ultimately continued to run for an additional two years \u2014 a decision Murphy admits he wouldn\u2019t make today. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf I had to do it again, we would\u2019ve stopped for a very long time and probably not come back,\u201d Murphy said on the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/podcasts.apple.com\/gb\/podcast\/start-believin-w-ryan-murphy-pt1\/id1645980188?i=1000584449220\">\u201cAnd That\u2019s What You Really Missed\u201d<\/a> podcast, hosted by \u201cGlee\u201d alums Jenna Ushkowitz and Kevin McHale.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI would be like, \u2018that\u2019s the end,&#8217;\u201d Murphy went on, adding, \u201cBecause you can\u2019t really recover from something like that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt wasn\u2019t, like, a normal death where someone is sick, and you can see them. It h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ened so quickly with no warning,\u201d added Murphy, who also created shows such as \u201cAmerican Horror Story\u201d and Netflix\u2019s smash hit \u201cDahmer \u2013 Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>One month after Monteith\u2019s death, the show paid tribute to the late actor in the episode \u201cThe Quarterback\u201d from Season 5. Obviously we\u2019re talking about our real friend,\u201d he said. \u201cThen there\u2019s a camera on you.
