However, that <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>arently didn\u2019t stop the Chicago native from retracting his offer and using the sample anyway.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLife of the Party\u201d was initially leaked by Drake in September 2021 during his feud with Kanye West, before being released exclusively on Ye\u2019s $200 Stem Player the following month. It later arrived on streaming services as a bonus song on the deluxe edition of <em>Donda<\/em>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mobile outerAdHatch\">\n<div class=\"ad-border\">\n<div class=\"innerAdHatch\">\n<div id=\"contentUnit300\" class=\"adUnits\" inserted=\"shortcode\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The company claims \u201cLife of the Party\u201d helped boost sales of the Stem Player, which moved around 11,000 units in its first 24 hours, generating roughly $2.2 million. The company are seeking a share of the profits while blocking further use of the \u201cSouth Bronx\u201d sample.<\/p>\n<p>Neither Kanye nor his team have responded to the allegations as of press time.<\/p>\n<p><iframe style=\"border-radius:12px\" src=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/embed\/track\/6JMIaVMbh5emijDiBODgit?utm_source=generator\" width=\"100%\" height=\"152\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"\" allow=\"autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; fullscreen; picture-in-picture\" loading=\"lazy\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><iframe style=\"border-radius:12px\" src=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/embed\/track\/7n4YpQcocaRfXRlEl07klO?utm_source=generator\" width=\"100%\" height=\"152\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"\" allow=\"autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; fullscreen; picture-in-picture\" loading=\"lazy\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>\u201cLife of the Party\u201d more prominently samples The Dramatics\u2019 1975 song \u201cI Was the Life of the Party,\u201d as well as snippets of Biggie\u2019s \u201cHypnotize,\u201d Herb &amp; the Spices\u2019 \u201cCannibal Cutie\u201d and a viral video of DMX comforting his daughter while on an amusement park ride.<\/p>\n<p>The original version leaked by Drake on his Sound 42 radio show contained an unreleased verse from Kanye West taking shots at the OVO hitmaker.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mobile outerAdHatch\">\n<div class=\"ad-border\">\n<div class=\"innerAdHatch\">\n<div id=\"contentUnit400\" class=\"adUnits\" inserted=\"shortcode\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><em>\u201cThought we was the new Abu Dhabi \/ Told Drake \u2018Don\u2019t play with me on GD\u2019 \/ And he sent that message to everybody \/ So if I hit you with a \u2018WYD\u2019 \/ You better hit me with, \u2018Yes sir, I\u2019m writing everything you need,&#8217;\u201d<\/em> he rapped.<\/p>\n<p>Ye\u2019s verse was later swapped out for a different one on the official version, while Andr\u00e9 3000\u2019s lauded guest verse \u2014 a vulnerable, heartfelt ode to his deceased parents, as well as Ye\u2019s late mother Donda West \u2014 remained in tact.<\/p>\n<p>Following the leak, the Outkast legend issued a statement explaining he was unaware of Kanye\u2019s Drake disses, as well as his plan to make <em>Donda<\/em> free of profanity.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was inspired by his idea to make a musical tribute to his mom,\u201d 3 Stacks wrote. \u201cIt felt appropriate to me to support the <em>Donda<\/em> concept by referencing my own mother, who passed away in 2013. We both share that loss. I thought it was a beautiful choice to make a clean album.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut, unfortunately, I didn\u2019t know that was the plan before I wrote and recorded my verse. It was clear to me that an edited \u2018clean\u2019 format of the verse would not work without having the raw, original also available. So, sadly, I had to be omitted from the original album release.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"mobile outerAdHatch\">\n<div class=\"ad-border\">\n<div class=\"innerAdHatch\">\n<div id=\"contentUnit500\" class=\"adUnits\" inserted=\"shortcode\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>He added: \u201cThe track I received and wrote to didn\u2019t have the diss verse on it and we were hoping to make a more focused offering for the <em>Donda<\/em> album but I guess things happen like they are supposed to. It\u2019s unfortunate that it was released in this way this way and two artists that I love are going back and forth.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLife of the Party\u201d isn\u2019t the only <em>Donda<\/em> track that has run into sampling trouble.
