The ad culminates in David dismissing FTX as a doomed project.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLike I was saying, it\u2019s FTX. It\u2019s a safe and easy way to get into crypto,\u201d an actor portraying an FTX executive tells David in the ad.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEhhhh, I don\u2019t think so,\u201d David replies with a smirk. \u201cAnd I\u2019m never wrong about this stuff \u2013 never!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The commercial ends with a message saying, \u201cDon\u2019t be like Larry. Don\u2019t miss out on the next big thing,\u201d while nudging viewers to sign up for FTX.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=BH5-rSxilxo\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=BH5-rSxilxo<\/a><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Once a leading cryptocurrency, FTX is now at risk of an imminent collapse and bankruptcy after facing a sudden liquidity crisis. Led by cryptocurrency billionaire Sam Bankman-Fried, the platform appeared to have secured a lifeline through a bailout deal with rival exchange Binance \u2013 which later backed out due to concern about FTX\u2019s finances.<\/p>\n<p>Bankman-Fried admitted in a lengthy Twitter thread Thursday that he had \u201cf\u2014ked up\u201d his management of FTX ahead of its meltdown. His net worth has plummeted alongside FTX\u2019s value.<\/p>\n<p>FTX is now scrambling to cover a shortfall of up to $8 billion to remain solvent and avoid a complete collapse.<\/p>\n<p>As FTX\u2019s fortunes spiraled this week, social media users noted that David\u2019s skepticism in the Super Bowl commercial was eerily accurate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLarry David was a wise man. He doesn\u2019t get #crypto. RIP FTX,\u201d <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Schuldensuehner\/status\/1590753516616060928\">one user wrote<\/a> alongside a link to the commercial.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTrust Larry David folks. Brady and his estranged wife Gisele Bundchen served as brand ambassadors for FTX.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFTX basically needs this bailout for all of crypto\u2026 I can\u2019t imagine regular investors who watched Tom Brady, Larry David, and all the Finfluencers on Youtube promote this thing, getting rekt like this.
