According to Nicki, she\u2019s in a very good place now and believes being in that mindset puts her in a position to put out her best music.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mobile outerAdHatch\">\n<div class=\"ad-border\">\n<div class=\"innerAdHatch\">\n<div id=\"contentUnit200\" class=\"adUnits\" inserted=\"shortcode\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cI feel like whenever I\u2019m happy, I deliver the best music,\u201d Nicki said before hinting at what\u2019s to come on the new project. \u201cAnd in order for me to deliver the best music for my album \u2013 which is coming out soon \u2013 I have to tap back into the essence of Hip Hop.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere in the conversation, Nicki hinted her fifth studio album is on her priority list, giving fans hope it can be released sometime soon. According to Nicki, she released the \u201cQueen Mix\u201d to her hit single \u201cSuper Freaky Girl\u201d \u2014 featuring Katie Got Bandz, Maliibu Miitch, BIA and Akbar V. \u2014 just to hear women rap.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wanna hear girls rap again. Like, just rap. When I did my BET Cypher years ago, I purposely didn\u2019t wear revealing clothes,\u201d Nicki said. \u201cI wore a sweatsuit. So even though we were being super freaky girls on the song, and we all had fun, y\u2019all really spit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere, Nicki praised fellow rap legend Foxy Brown during her <em>i-D<\/em> interview and called her one of her biggest rap inspirations. The \u201cMoment 4 Life\u201d star was asked to name the artists who have had a major impact on her rap style the most, and Foxy led the way.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFoxy Brown. I still probably at times sound similar to her,\u201d Nicki said. \u201cI would listen to this woman non-stop. Finding out she was from Trinidad was so freaking amazing to me, because I never imagined that a rapper could be from my country.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mobile outerAdHatch\">\n<div class=\"ad-border\">\n<div class=\"innerAdHatch\">\n<div id=\"contentUnit300\" class=\"adUnits\" inserted=\"shortcode\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>She added: \u201cShe\u2019s so precise with her delivery, and so clear.
