According to her LinkedIn profile, Wu had been <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/amytongwu\/\">based<\/a> at FTX Venture\u2019s offices in The Bahamas since January.<\/p>\n<p>FTX Ventures\u2019 website along with that of Alameda Research went dark on Nov. 9 amid its parent company\u2019s liquidity crisis and deal with Binance falling apart. Wu <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/amytongwu\/status\/1590420256102952962\">said<\/a> on Twitter at the time that she was learning about events affecting the company at the same time as everyone else through <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social media<\/a>, and suggested she would update her LinkedIn profile for new job opportunities.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Truth. Need to update my linkedin<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Amy Wu (@amytongwu) <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/amytongwu\/status\/1590429498016956416?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 9, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>Wu\u2019s resignation followed the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> 134 companies associated with the FTX Group \u2014 including FTX Trading, FTX US and Alameda Research \u2014 would be filing for bankruptcy under Chapter 11 in the District of Delaware. Sam Bankman-Fried resigned as CEO in the same announcement, but <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SBF_FTX\/status\/1591089324006977536\">said<\/a> \u201cthis doesn&#8217;t necessarily have to mean the end for the companies.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Related: <\/em><\/strong><strong><em>FTX US resigns from the Crypto Council for Innovation<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As a $2-billion venture capital fund aimed at investments in Web3 projects, FTX Ventures backed projects including LayerZero Labs and purchased a 30% stake in SkyBridge Capital. In August, the firm reportedly absorbed the venture capital operations of Alameda Research amid the crypto bear market.
