But now it seems her murder case is just beginning.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rachel Castillo<\/strong>\u00a0(pictured above) had been missing for several days after loved ones reported her absence late last week from the Los Angeles suburb of Simi Valley. The 25-year-old, who lived with her two children and her sister\u00a0<strong>Emily Castillo<\/strong>, went missing from the siblings\u2019 apartment on Thursday of last week.<\/p>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p><strong>Related: Six Children Killed In Fire Believed To Be The Victims Of Murder-Suicide<\/strong><\/p>\n<div style=\"min-height:120px;width:100%;float:none;\">\n<div id=\"section-6372a6c078173-paragraph-slot\" class=\"lazyload-unit\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Emily was the first to note her beloved sister\u2019s dis<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>earance on Thursday when she returned home to find \u201ca significant amount of blood\u201d in the apartment. According to a press release from the Simi Valley PD, Emily im<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>tely called 911 to report the scary discovery. Cops responding to the scene confirmed the bloody aftermath and determined there were other \u201csigns of a struggle\u201d in the apartment as well. Adding to the mystery, Rachel\u2019s personal belongings \u2014 including her cell phone, purse, car, and car keys \u2014 were all still at the apartment.<\/p>\n<p>Detectives in Simi Valley worked leads on Rachel\u2019s disappearance through the weekend. On Sunday afternoon, according to the <em>Simi Valley Acorn<\/em>, tips led investigators to a remote area of the high desert in the Antelope Valley north of Los Angeles. There, unfortunately, they found her remains.<\/p>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p>Police already had their eye on a suspect: her ex-husband,\u00a0<strong>Zarbab Ali<\/strong>. And it didn\u2019t take long to get everything they needed for an arrest.<\/p>\n<div style=\"min-height:120px;width:100%;float:none;\">\n<div id=\"section-6372a6c078177-paragraph-slot\" class=\"lazyload-unit\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Just hours after the discovery, police descended on Ali\u2019s family home in nearby Victorville to take him into custory. In a Sunday evening press release shared with the <em>Acorn<\/em>, the Simi Valley PD stated:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThe primary suspect in this case, is Rachel\u2019s ex-husband, 25-year-old City of Hawthorne resident, Zarbab Ali. Mr. Ali was arrested, this afternoon at his parent\u2019s home in Victorville, in connection to Rachel\u2019s homicide.\u00a0This investigation has rapidly evolved over the past few days. This case is still under investigation and some details cannot be released due to legal and investigative reasons.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p>Clearly it seems whatever they aren\u2019t telling the public must include some rock solid evidence \u2014 they\u2019ve already charged Ali with felony murder.<\/p>\n<div style=\"min-height:120px;width:100%;float:none;\">\n<div id=\"section-6372a6c07817a-paragraph-slot\" class=\"lazyload-unit\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>According to\u00a0<em>People<\/em>, Ali \u2014 who is reportedly a math teacher \u2014 is being held in Ventura County Jail. His bail has been set at $510,000. As of Monday morning, it is unclear whether Ali has entered a plea or retained an attorney.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Related: Mother Wanted For Murder Of 5-Year-Old Found In Suitcase Said Son Was \u2018Demonic\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p>According to the\u00a0<em>Associated Press<\/em>, Rachel was studying for her master\u2019s degree in clinical psychology at nearby\u00a0<strong>Pepperdine University<\/strong>. She had plans to become a marriage and family therapist. Along with her sister, she shared the apartment with her 2-year-old and 5-year-old sons.<\/p>\n<div style=\"min-height:120px;width:100%;float:none;\">\n<div id=\"section-6372a6c07817d-paragraph-slot\" class=\"lazyload-unit\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Now, instead, her loved ones are left to mourn her tragic death. Rachel\u2019s mother, <strong>Robyn Castillo<\/strong>, spoke to\u00a0<em>ABC 7<\/em> on Sunday. She called Rachel \u201ca really good mother, a good sister and daughter and friend.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Robyn also told the outlet that before her daughter\u2019s body was discovered, Ali had reached out and \u201cexpressed his concerns\u201d about Rachel\u2019s well-being:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p>\u201cHe said he was very sorry and hoped that she was OK. It seemed like a very normal conversation.\u201d<\/p>\n<div style=\"min-height:120px;width:100%;float:none;\">\n<div id=\"section-6372a6c078181-paragraph-slot\" class=\"lazyload-unit\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Days later, Ali was arrested and charged with her murder.
