Wyze, the smart home company best known for its affordable security cameras, is now throwing its hat into the ring.<\/p>\n<p>Wyze has announced two new Wi-Fi mesh systems, the first routers sold by Wyze. Both are mesh systems, so they can expand network coverage by placing additional stations around your home. Wyze will sell them in packs of one or two units, and the company says you can have up to ten nodes on a single network \u2014 mixing and matching the two systems won\u2019t work, though.<\/p>\n<p>First is the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pntra.com\/t\/2-525060-165274-286583?sid=htg848349|xid:{xid}&amp;website=268389&amp;url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.wyze.com%2Fwyze-mesh-router.html&amp;___trxnet=pj\">Wyze Mesh Router<\/a>, which will cost $93.99 for one unit, or $173.99 for two units, not including shipping costs on Wyze\u2019s online store. It\u2019s a simple dual-band Wi-Fi 6 router, with support for both 2.4 and 5 GHz channels. Wyze is claiming 1500 square feet of coverage on each station, and you can optionally use a wired Ethernet backhaul for improved performance. There aren\u2019t many devices yet that can even take advantage of Wi-Fi 6E \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">App<\/a>le has exactly one product that supports it, for example \u2014 so for the moment that\u2019s mostly just for futureproofing. It also has slightly more range than the normal Wyze Mesh Router, at 2,000 sq. ft. instead of 1,500.<\/p>\n<p>The routers look impressive on paper, and there aren\u2019t many options for Wi-Fi 6E routers, so any competition is welcome. However, Wyze has never sold a router before now.
