But while we\u2019re hoping this intervention will prove to be good <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> in her life, it seems there are other familial issues going on behind the scenes, too.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Related: Wendy Was \u2018At Death\u2019s Door\u2019 During 2020 Low Point?!<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p>According to <em>The<\/em> <em>U.S. Sun<\/em>, the 58-year-old celeb gossip queen hasn\u2019t spoken to son Kevin Jr. (pictured above, inset, with his mother in 2013) in the time since she left that Malibu treatment facility in late September. The estrangement <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>arently wasn\u2019t expected by the young man, so said an insider who spoke to the outlet about it.<\/p>\n<div style=\"min-height:120px;width:100%;float:none;\">\n<div id=\"section-6373f84fddd23-paragraph-slot\" class=\"lazyload-unit\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>That source revealed how things took a turn im<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>tely after Wendy first left the center:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWendy has not reached out to her son since she left the rehab. While she was in treatment, they were talking but the minute she got out the communication stopped.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p class=\"highlight\">Oh, no\u2026<\/p>\n<div style=\"min-height:120px;width:100%;float:none;\">\n<div id=\"section-6373f84fddd27-paragraph-slot\" class=\"lazyload-unit\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>And it also sounds like Kevin Jr., whose father is Wendy\u2019s ex-husband\u00a0<strong>Kevin Hunter Sr.<\/strong>,\u00a0does <em>not<\/em> want his relationship with his mother to be forlorn like this. The insider added:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cKevin has been through hell this year with everything going on with his mom. It breaks his heart that things seemed to be going well while she was in rehab, but as soon as she got her freedom, she hasn\u2019t reached out to him since.\u00a0Kevin has been trying to stay focused and finish up his last year of school, but it\u2019s been challenging having to deal with everything going on with his mother.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p class=\"highlight\">Ugh.<\/p>\n<div style=\"min-height:120px;width:100%;float:none;\">\n<div id=\"section-6373f84fddd2b-paragraph-slot\" class=\"lazyload-unit\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>We wish Kevin well with everything going on in his life. Obviously, Wendy has been through the gamut of adversity in recent years, too, and certainly hasn\u2019t had it easy. Reports following her recent rehab stay had been notably optimistic, so perhaps things are starting to come together. Last September, an insider reported to the\u00a0<em>U.S. Sun<\/em> that Kevin Jr. had allegedly given his mother an ultimatum about making sure she \u201cfixes\u201d herself and her issues:<\/p>\n<div style=\"min-height:120px;width:100%;float:none;\">\n<div id=\"section-6373f84fddd2e-paragraph-slot\" class=\"lazyload-unit\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cWendy\u2019s relationship with Kevin Jr. has been strained. He gave her an ultimatum. He told her he won\u2019t be in her life unless she fixes herself.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>That fix seems to have come \u2014 or, at least been initiated \u2014 with Wendy\u2019s recent rehab stay. It\u2019s sad to hear it apparently hasn\u2019t translated to a closer connection to Kevin Jr., though.<\/p>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p>Perezcious readers will recall how very early this year, he was part of what appeared to be a move to get Wendy back on the right track. As we reported at the time, the <em>Wendy Williams Show<\/em> alum was spending lots of\u00a0time with family down in Florida at the beginning of 2022.
