\n The founder of \u201cWe Build the Wall\u201d \u2014 who was charged Thursday with defrauding donors to the project \u2014 was also planning on selling their data, according to a report.<\/p>\n

Brian Kolfage, 38, used his organization to compile millions of email addresses and phone numbers in order to start a political consulting business, according to The Daily Beast.<\/p>\n

The trip<\/a>le-amputee Air Force veteran shopped around the idea to a Republican strategist earlier this year, claiming his voter contact list was one of the largest in GOP politics, in an email that was seen by the website.<\/p>\n

He said he had names, email addresses, phone numbers and other data points about donors to his nonprofit \u2014 which claimed to raise funds to build a southern border wall.<\/p>\n

Kolfage pitched a deal where he would pocket 50 percent of all the funds Republican campaigns and groups raised by hitting up people on the list for cash, according to the report.<\/p>\n

Based on the email, it app<\/a>ears Kolfage wanted to rent the list to vendors that work with political campaigns, rather than to the campaigns directly.<\/p>\n

He didn\u2019t respond to a request for comment from the Daily Beast.<\/p>\n

Kolfage and three others \u2014 including Former President Trump adviser Steve Bannon \u2014 were arrested Thursday on charges they ripped off hundreds of thousands of donors to the \u201cWe Build the Wall\u201d fund-raising effort.<\/p>\n

Kolfage was expected to make his first court appearance on Thursday before a federal judge in Florida.<\/p>\n

Bannon, meanwhile, was arraigned in Manhattan federal court, where he entered a plea of not guilty and was released on $5 million bond.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
