At the time, Jeffrey was staying with Lionel\u2019s mother, who resented him keeping X-rated materials in the Wisconsin house.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSeveral occasions my mother had complained about seeing some pornography\u00a0around,\u201d recalled Lionel Dahmer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo when I made the visit to Milwaukee, I saw this box in the closet in his room and I said \u2018I\u2019m going to open it anyway,\u2019 find out what\u2019s in here,\u201d he added, noting he thought it was merely pornography at the time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe convinced me to just wait. \u2018Wait until tomorrow dad,\u2019 he said, \u2018and I\u2019ll open it for you then but just don\u2019t do anything now, I don\u2019t want to disturb grandma,&#8217;\u201d explained Dahmer.<\/p>\n<p>According to the elder Dahmer, the next morning when he opened the box, it was filled with porn magazines.<\/p>\n<p>After he was convicted, Jeffrey Dahmer confessed to keeping mutilated body parts in that same box during an MSNBC interview alongside his dad.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI had a box in my bedroom closet and it contained the mummified head and genitals of a young man I met in one of the bars down in Milwaukee,\u201d <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.oxygen.com\/dahmer-on-dahmer-a-serial-killer-speaks\/blogs\/9-mind-blowing-quotes-made-by-serial-killer-jeffrey\">he said at the time<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn a way, I\u2019m glad, in a way I\u2019m not glad that I didn\u2019t press it,\u201d Lionel told Dr. Phil, \u201cbecause if I had opened that box and found what was in that\u2019s the way I thought about it after thinking about it for a while.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dahmer also said that he and his son bonded over taxidermy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt first I couldn\u2019t fathom
