Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>y with the release of a song by the man alleged to have shot and killed the Paper Route Empire (PRE) boss in 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, the suspected gunman, Justin \u201cStraight Drop\u201d Johnson, released a new track called \u201cNo Statements\u201d while incarcerated for his alleged role in the shooting.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mobile outerAdHatch\">\n<div class=\"ad-border\">\n<div class=\"innerAdHatch\">\n<div id=\"contentUnit200\" class=\"adUnits\" inserted=\"shortcode\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The song finds Johnson maintaining his innocence, claiming he\u2019s \u201ca rapper,\u201d but \u201cthe state say that I\u2019m a paid killer.\u201d He also seemingly targets his opposition with the line: \u201c<em>No statement\/ Got to be patient\/ Might make it home before you blink<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The song\u2019s release came when Shelby County District Attorney Steve Mulroy announced Hernandez Govan as the third suspect arrested in the case.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"NO STATEMENTS - STRAIGHTDROP\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/z7uSN9T-Hn0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Two of Young Dolph\u2019s Paper Route Empire artists, Paper Route Woo and Snupe Bandz, reportedly issued statements addressing the new track.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt seem like somebody giving up some statements. It can\u2019t be no statements. Somebody constantly getting pulled in so somebody giving some statements up,\u201d said Paper Route Woo.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mobile outerAdHatch\">\n<div class=\"ad-border\">\n<div class=\"innerAdHatch\">\n<div id=\"contentUnit300\" class=\"adUnits\" inserted=\"shortcode\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Snupe Bandz added: \u201cThey just rapping about it, somebody talking in real life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The timing of the song has fans believing Johnson is using the moment to boost his rap career. However, despite giving \u201cno statements,\u201d as the song title suggests, people feel he\u2019s actually giving one, especially now that Govan is in custody and believed to be the mastermind behind Dolph\u2019s murder.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mobile outerAdHatch\">\n<div class=\"ad-border\">\n<div class=\"innerAdHatch\">\n<div id=\"contentUnit400\" class=\"adUnits\" inserted=\"shortcode\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Things haven\u2019t been going smoothly for Johnson while he awaits his fate in Young Dolph\u2019s murder case. In March, he was reportedly assaulted while using the phone and was involved in another undisclosed altercation with a different inmate.<\/p>\n<p>Young Dolph was shot and killed while shopping for cookies for his mother at Makeda\u2019s Cookies in Memphis, Tennessee in November 2021. According to the coroner\u2019s report, the murder suspects opened fire on Dolph and struck him over 22 times.<\/p>\n<p>U.S. Marshals arrested Johnson in January 2022 in Indiana, but he was eventually transferred to Memphis, where he pleaded not guilty to multiple felony charges, including first-degree murder. Two other men are in custody and have been charged for their alleged roles in Young Dolph\u2019s murder.<\/p>\n<p>Cornelius Smith has been charged with first-degree murder along with weapons possession and theft charges. Shaundale Barnett, who is accused of helping Justin Johnson evade police during a week-long search before he was caught, was charged with being an after-the-fact accessory.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mobile outerAdHatch\">\n<div class=\"ad-border\">\n<div class=\"innerAdHatch\">\n<div id=\"contentUnit500\" class=\"adUnits\" inserted=\"shortcode\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Thursday (November 17) marked the one-year anniversary of Dolph\u2019s death.
