We need an international smash,&#8217;\u201d will.i.am recalled. \u201c\u2018I Got a Feeling\u2019 was massive and I was hunting for an \u2018I Got a Feeling.\u2019 I\u2019m like, \u2018Yo man, I need a song like freaking Kool &amp; The Gang \u2018Celebrate\u2019 that plays everywhere, at every birthday party, every Bar Mitzvah, every freaking football <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a>. I need a song like that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While on the hunt for this song, will.i.am remembered a performance with The Black Eyed Peas he had previously done in France, and said after they ran through their juggernaut hit \u201cI Got a Feeling\u201d the crowd started chanting.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mobile outerAdHatch\">\n<div class=\"ad-border\">\n<div class=\"innerAdHatch\">\n<div id=\"contentUnit300\" class=\"adUnits\" inserted=\"shortcode\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cSo I\u2019m like, \u2018Yo, what the fuck is that?&#8217;\u201d will.i.am said. \u201cSo I go to the TV host I\u2019m like, \u2018Excuse me, what\u2019s this?\u2019 He\u2019s like, \u2018It means they like the Black Eyed Peas.\u2019 I\u2019m like, can you send me this?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The host sent along an mp3 of the crowd chanting, and when asked by Usher to produce an \u201cinternational hit\u201d brought that soundbite to his team, and it fit perfectly with \u201cOMG.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Will.i.am Reveals The Mind-Blowing Source Of The &quot;Oh Oh&quot; Chant On Usher&#039;s &#039;OMG&#039; | Fresh Pair Preview\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/kAsXx3WXh-0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The song, off Usher\u2019s platinum sixth studio album <em>Raymond v. Raymond<\/em>, would go on to become the R&amp;B star\u2019s ninth number-one hit in the US, making him the first 2010s artist to collect number-one singles in three consecutive decades.<\/p>\n<p>Usher has collected so many hits over the years, that he said in August no other R&amp;B singer could ever take him on in a <em>Verzuz<\/em> battle.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mobile outerAdHatch\">\n<div class=\"ad-border\">\n<div class=\"innerAdHatch\">\n<div id=\"contentUnit400\" class=\"adUnits\" inserted=\"shortcode\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cI think if you ever came to my show, you would understand that I don\u2019t even think a Verzuz could handle all of the songs that I have to be honest,\u201d he said in an interview with the\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/music\/why-usher-wont-do-verzuz-battle-cut-from-different-cloth\/\"><em>PEOPLE Every Day<\/em><\/a> podcast. \u201cIt\u2019s like, I could do it by myself. But I don\u2019t wanna do that. That\u2019s not the purpose of Verzuz, me versus me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He continued: \u201cBut I think it\u2019s great. It\u2019s great to celebrate music. But the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>reciation of it starts with understanding what it is and how long has it taken to do this legacy. And if you choose to compare it, what are you comparing to? Are you comparing it to itself?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Usher then noted he\u2019s in a different tier when it comes to hits.\u00a0\u201cI\u2019m a different animal, man,\u201d he said.\u201cI\u2019m cut from a way different cloth man. And when you put those songs on, I\u2019m telling you, I don\u2019t think anybody in the world would want smoke with them songs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As for will.i.am, he recently revealed Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s BREAK MY SOUL Remix EP was his idea, which she dropped prior to the arrival of\u00a0<em>Renaissance. <\/em>The producer noted he was in France when he heard Bey\u2019s chart-topping hit for the first time, and said it inspired him to toy with a remix of the track. The final product ended up getting sent to Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s camp.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mobile outerAdHatch\">\n<div class=\"ad-border\">\n<div class=\"innerAdHatch\">\n<div id=\"contentUnit500\" class=\"adUnits\" inserted=\"shortcode\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cThey weren\u2019t thinking about remixes until I sent it,\u201d he told <em>Metro UK<\/em>. \u201cThey put out a remix EP and my song\u2019s the first one on it \u2013 and I inspired it!
