He was 28. <\/p>\n<p>His brother, Denzil, confirmed his passing in a video message posted to Smyth\u2019s official Instagram page. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday regretfully I have to announce that my brother has passed away this morning from respiratory failure after a long battle with pulmonary fibrosis,\u201d <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reel\/ClEw50cLM-N\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;ig_rid=a8401b2d-8fb9-49f9-8c98-15c3070179e2\">Denzil wrote in the caption<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Denzil said his brother \u201cwanted him\u201d to make the video to thank his fans for their love and support. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy brother was very excited to see a lot of you create challenges for his latest released single\u00a0#Twerkoholic\u00a0part 2 while he was in the ICU, it really brought him a big smile to his face.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo on behalf of my brother and my family we want to say thank you to all of you for all of your love &amp; support throughout the years,\u201d he added in the caption. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"682\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/11\/b-smyth-dead-949.jpg?w=682\" alt=\"B.
