Kelly. <\/figcaption><figcaption><span class=\"credit\">TNS<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>US Attorney for the Eastern District of New York Breon Peace called the punishment against Russell, 47, a \u201cvictory for crime victims.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor more than a year, the defendant engaged in a vicious campaign to harass, humiliate and threaten the victim in order to force her to dismiss her lawsuit against R. Kelly and stop speaking publicly about him,\u201d Peace said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe punishment meted out to the defendant today is a victory for crime victims, particularly those of sexual assault and abuse, who are often reluctant to come forward to law enforcement or pursue legal recourse, given the trauma and fear of retaliation associated with publicly discussing their experiences.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Federal prosecutors said when Russell pleaded guilty that he could\u2019ve faced as many as five years behind bars.<\/p>\n<p>From November 2018 to February 2020, the Kelly loyalist originally threatened to reveal the sexually explicit pics of the victim and her sexual history in a bid to stop the civil lawsuit against the \u201cI Believe I Can Fly,\u201d singer, the feds said.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/11\/r-kelly-stalking-01.jpg?w=1024\" alt=\"Donnell Russell arrives at the Thurgood Marshall United States Courthouse on July 20, 2022\" class=\"wp-image-24697532\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/11\/r-kelly-stalking-01.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all&amp;w=1536 1536w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/11\/r-kelly-stalking-01.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all 1024w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/11\/r-kelly-stalking-01.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all&amp;w=512 512w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\"\/><figcaption>Russell sent intimating texts to the victim and her mother, the feds said.<\/figcaption><figcaption><span class=\"credit\">Alec Tabak<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Russell even mailed a letter to her lawyer in November 2018 with cropped nude photos of the victim, prosecutors said.<\/p>\n<p>The text of the note read, \u201cthe next two pictures have been cropped for the sake of not exposing her extremities to the world, yet!!!\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The next month Russell, using the alias Colon Dunn, sent a flurry of cruel texts to the victim and her mother with the same nude photos and wrote, \u201cJust a sample.\u00a0 We will seek criminal charges.\u00a0 You\u2019ve been warned,\u201d and additionally said, \u201cPublishing soon,\u201d prosecutors said.<\/p>\n<p>He also divulged, \u201c[T]his is Colon.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>At the start of 2019, Russell again texted the victim and her mother, warning, \u201cPull the plug or you will be exposed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The same month, he started up a <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Facebook<\/a> page that defended Kelly and posted texts between the hip-hop artist and victim with the same private photos. Then a year later, he again showed the sexually explicit photos during live interviews on YouTube with vloggers who supported Kelly, prosecutors said.<\/p>\n<p>Russell\u2019s ill-advised backing of Kelly also got him in trouble when he was convicted in July of a federal charge for calling in an active-shooter threat to a private Manhattan club that was scheduled to show a screening of the Lifetime docu<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a> \u201cSurviving R.
