The good, the bad, the popular, the obscure&nbsp;&mdash; what was it that got you hooked?&nbsp;I then sifted through all of the almost 8,000 responses and found the most popular answers, the shows that a single person voted for, and a few other bits of interesting data.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Going through all of your responses got me thinking&#8230; What about everyone who <em>doesn&rsquo;t<\/em> watch anime?&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>With anime&rsquo;s modern popularity and online presence, it can be easy to forget that everyone has to start somewhere. So I decided to make another quiz, this time aimed at helping anime fans get their non-anime-watching friends and family to join in.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As with last time, the question is simple: What anime would you recommend as someone&rsquo;s starting&nbsp;point?&nbsp;The single show or movie&nbsp;you would suggest someone watch to get them into anime? This quiz is a hair more in-depth than the last one since it has a second question: Why? Simply give your one or two-sentence elevator pitch as to why the anime you chose is the best anime for a non-anime fan to watch to turn them into an anime fan. Your newbie anime recommendation could be the same as the series that got you hooked, but I&#039;m sure we&#039;re all familiar with that feeling of wanting to share something with the uninitiated but knowing they&#039;ll hate it if they start with the first episode. Do you have a go-to you recommend even if it&#039;s not your personal gateway anime?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The quiz will remain open for a week, then I&#039;ll collect the data and&nbsp;spend a few days going through it to look for the most humorous, heartwarming, or strange responses to feature in a follow-up story.
