\n Mossimo Giannulli, the husband of \u201cFull House\u201d actress Lori Loughlin, has been sentenced to five months in jail for his role in bribing his daughters\u2019 way into college.<\/p>\n

Boston federal Judge Nathan Gorton app<\/a>roved the terms of Giannulli\u2019s plea deal during a Zoom conference Friday morning, saying it was \u201csufficient but not greater than necessary punishment under the circumstances.\u201d<\/p>\n

The fashion designer will also pay a $250,000 fine and perform 250 hours of community
<\/br>
\nservice.<\/p>\n

Assistant US Attorney Kristen Kearney said Giannulli, 56, displayed \u201ca complete disregard for right and wrong,\u201d and a \u201cprivileged and entitled attitude.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis disrespect of right and wrong deserves a meaningful sentence of imprisonment,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Loughlin will be sentenced at 2:30 p.m. and is expected to get two months in jail, along with a $150,000 fine and 100 hours of community service.<\/p>\n

In their sentencing memorandum filed earlier this week, prosecutors said Giannulli deserved a tougher sentence because he was \u201cthe more active participant in the scheme,\u201d while Loughlin \u201ctook a less active role, but was nonetheless fully complicit.\u201d<\/p>\n

The California couple paid $500,000 to admitted college scammer William \u201cRick\u201d Singer to get their daughters Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose accepted into the University of Southern California.<\/p>\n

The girls were accepted as rowing recruits \u2014 even though neither played the sport.
<\/br>
\nProsecutors said Giannulli even tried to hide the scam from Olivia Jade\u2019s \u201cnosey bastard\u201d of a high school counselor.<\/p>\n

Giannulli and Loughlin pleaded guilty in May \u2014 after spending more than a year fighting tooth and nail against the charges.<\/p>\n

Loughlin pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud. Giannulli pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud and honest services wire and mail fraud.<\/p>\n

Prosecutors agreed to dismiss charges of money laundering and federal programs bribery that were added after the case was filed.<\/p>\n

They were among dozens of deep-pocketed parents and college coaches and employees who were charged last year in the sweeping college admissions scandal.<\/p>\n

Among them were \u201cDesperate Housewives\u201d star Felicity Huffman, who served nearly two weeks behind bars late last year after admitting to paying $15,000 to have someone correct her daughter\u2019s admissions exams.<\/p>\n
