Flushing hospital in Queens; three facilities run by Montefiore Medical Center \u2014 Einstein, Moses and Wakefield campuses \u2014 in the Bronx and BronxCare Health System. <\/p>\n<p>The rating categories included infections, problems with surgery, safety issues, practices to prevent errors and leadership communications with hospital staff.<\/p>\n<p>A group calling for an overhaul of the leadership of Maimonides hospital said its poor grade confirms the group\u2019s criticism of southern Brooklyn\u2019s largest private hospital. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis nationally recognized report confirms what we and tens of thousands of people in Brooklyn already know: Maimonides Hospital is a failing disaster that provides horrible service and, top to bottom needs, new leadership,\u201d said Mendy Reiner, co-founder of Save Maimonides.\u00a0 <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/11\/maimonides_hospital.jpg?w=1024\" alt=\"Maimonides nurses protest.\" class=\"wp-image-24726549\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/11\/maimonides_hospital.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all&amp;w=1535 1536w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/11\/maimonides_hospital.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all 1024w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/11\/maimonides_hospital.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all&amp;w=512 512w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\"\/><figcaption>The grades help strengthen Save Maimonides\u2019 cause, a group calling for a switch up of the Brooklyn hospital\u2019s leadership<\/figcaption><figcaption><span class=\"credit\">Paul Martinka<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cAfter multiple D grades in a row and even an F (in the fall of 2020), it\u2019s obvious that the people of Brooklyn desperately need better care than what they get at Maimonides.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hospitals that received a D declined requests for comment. <\/p>\n<p>On the other end of the spectrum, hospitals that earned an A for patient safety include city-run Queens and North Central hospitals, NYU Langone hospitals in Manhattan and Brooklyn, and the Mount Sinai hospital in Manhattan, according to the report card. <\/p>\n<p>No hospitals in New York state got an \u201cF.\u201d  <\/p>\n<p>The head of NYC Health\u00a0+ Hospitals\/Queens said he was \u201cimmensely proud\u201d of the \u201cA\u201d given the city-run Queens hospital in Jamaica. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/11\/brookdale_hospital.jpg?w=1024\" alt=\"Brookdale hospital\" class=\"wp-image-24726551\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/11\/brookdale_hospital.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all&amp;w=1535 1536w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/11\/brookdale_hospital.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all 1024w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/11\/brookdale_hospital.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all&amp;w=512 512w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\"\/><figcaption>Brookdale in Brooklyn rates as one of the worst hospitals for patient safety in NYC.<\/figcaption><figcaption><span class=\"credit\">Paul Martinka<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cEveryone at Queens plays an important role in the quality of care we provide our patients, and it is gratifying when the results of this hard work are recognized by others,\u201d  chief executive officer Neil Moore said in a statement. \u201cThis <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> is especially positive for our patients, who entrust us with their care.
