Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">trip<\/a>e.<\/p>\n<p>Iger has also been an active investor in the startup space, nabbing stakes in toy brand Funko, delivery service GoPuff and\u00a0metaverse avatar company Genies.<\/p>\n<p>Before being tapped to take over as CEO once again at Disney, Iger was reportedly working on a book about leadership \u2014 a follow-up to his 2019 memoir.<\/p>\n<p>Since leaving Disney, the longtime CEO has become an occasional\u00a0critic of his successor Bob Chapek, as well as a <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a> soothsayer.<\/p>\n<p>Iger\u00a0spoke out against Florida\u2019s \u201cDon\u2019t Say Gay\u201d\u00a0law as Chapek flip-flopped on his response earlier this year. Meanwhile, reports began to surface that the longtime\u00a0CEO regretted handing over the reins to Chapek\u00a0following a host of missteps, as\u00a0critics told The Post they hoped for an Iger return.<\/p>\n<p>More recently, the exec made news at\u00a0a tech conference in Los Angeles last week when he let it slip that Disney was on the verge of acquiring Twitter in 2016. <\/p>\n<p>Iger said he pulled the plug because the platform was full of \u201chate speech\u201d and bots, echoing\u00a0a similar claim made by Tesla boss Elon Musk\u00a0as he tries to get out of the $44 billion deal to buy the social media site.<\/p>\n<p>He also criticized the streaming landscape, explaining that while leading firms like Netflix, Disney, Apple and Amazon have a strong foothold, smaller entrants won\u2019t be as lucky.<\/p>\n<p>Without naming competitors like Warner Bros. Discovery\u2019s HBO Max, Discovery+, NBCUniversal\u2019s Peacock and Paramount\u2019s Paramount+, Iger offered a more dire prediction.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey\u2019ve got some tough hands, and it takes a lot of capital to be in that business,\u201d he said. \u201cI don\u2019t think they\u2019ll all make it.\u201d\n                        <\/p><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
