\n President Trump on Friday bashed the Democratic National Convention and his presidential rival Joe Biden, who spoke at the DNC Thursday night.<\/p>\n

\u201cOver the last week the Democrats held the darkest and angriest and gloomiest convention in American history,\u201d Trump said during a speech in Virginia.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey spent four straight days attacking America as racist and a horrible country that must be redeemed. Joe Biden grimly declared a season of American darkness,\u201d he said. \u201cWhere Joe Biden sees American darkness, I see American greatness.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump told the conservative Council for National Policy event that his 2016 Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton, is \u201clike a crazed lunatic \u2014 she\u2019s a lunatic.\u201d<\/p>\n

Clinton is \u201cmuch smarter\u201d than Biden, but he \u201cis more likable,\u201d Trump said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know, maybe I\u2019d rather have the smarter person. Who cares about personality, right?\u201d he joked.<\/p>\n

Trump told an enthusiastic crowd, which cheered and whistled, that \u201cit\u2019s time to reject the anger and the hate of the Democrat Party.\u201d<\/p>\n

The president touted improving economic figures after the coronavirus pandemic caused a spike in joblessness this year and a dive in the stock market. Trump said an economic recovery is proving to be a \u201csuper v.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe biggest part of last night\u2019s speech was what Joe Biden didn\u2019t talk about,\u201d Trump said. \u201cHe didn\u2019t talk about law enforcement. He didn\u2019t talk about bringing safety to Democrat-run cities that are totally out of control. They have no clue. China was never mentioned in any way shape or form. China will own our country if he gets elected.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump added: \u201cYou\u2019ve seen the intelligence reports. China very much wants Joe Biden to win. That would be very insulting if they wanted me to win.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
