Now add to that list of de<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">script<\/a>ors a new word: strange. For the House of Mouse\u2019s latest adventure film \u201cStrange World\u201d certainly lives up to its title.<\/p>\n<p>Our unfamiliar land is Avalonia and our heroes are the Clade family, famed explorers led by a gruff patriarch named Jaeger (Dennis Quaid). On a snowy journey with his son Searcher (Jake Gyllenhaal) to attempt to finally reach the other side of the bordering mountains, Jaeger disappears. Curious Searcher, meanwhile, discovers a mysterious plantlike power source and returns home dad-less.<\/p>\n<div class=\"inline-module inline-module--review alignleft\">\n<div class=\"inline-module__inner\">\n        <span class=\"inline-module--review__eyebrow widget-heading-semi__label\"><br \/>\n            movie review        <\/span><\/p>\n<p>        Running time: 102 minutes. Rated PG (action\/peril and some thematic elements.) In theaters.\n    <\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Twenty-five years later, that glowing substance, pando, has allowed Avalonia to flourish and made Searcher and his presumed dead father local legends. But when pando begins to suddenly die off, Searcher, his teen son Ethan (Jaboukie Young-White, so talented and who should be in major live-action films) and wife Meridian (Gabrielle Union) go on an expedition to save their fuel from destruction.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s when we encounter, like Charlie Bucket entering Willy Wonka\u2019s chocolate mixing room, a fantastical, enormous subterranean land of pink, orange and blue globules, sea anemone-type creatures and floating islands. They fly through it by airship. His greatest fear is that his son might be a mini Jaeger after all.<\/p>\n<p>While \u201cStrange World,\u201d directed by Don Hall and Qui Nguyen, is about overcoming perils to arrive at a faraway destination, the graver danger lies in the father-son feuds that span three generations. Their goal is to find the source of pando \u2014 and some common ground.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The tale itself is not quite so breathtaking as its aesthetic. The relationships could be more fraught and not so easily repaired. The setup is also too basic. For instance, one lovable sidekick is the family\u2019s three-legged dog. But another funny wiggly blue gingerbread man-shaped character is introduced later on. We don\u2019t get quite enough of either.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cStrange World,\u201d nonetheless, is a sweet, <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/sciencee\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"5\" title=\"Science\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">science<\/a>-fiction family film with a loud environmentalist message (speaking of \u201cAvatar\u201d) that\u2019s good fun. It\u2019s also nicely self-contained. Disney loves a sequel \u2014 look no further than the horrendous \u201cDisenchanted\u201d \u2014 but they\u2019d be wise to keep \u201cStrange World\u201d a likable one-and-done.\u00a0\n                        <\/p><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
