On Tuesday, the US Supreme Court ruled that Trump\u2019s tax returns must be given to the Congressional committee that\u2019s been seeking the records for three years.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/11\/trump-case-74.jpg?w=1024\" alt=\"Ex-Trump Org CFO Allen Weisselberg.\" class=\"wp-image-24767447\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/11\/trump-case-74.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all&amp;w=1535 1536w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/11\/trump-case-74.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all 1024w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/11\/trump-case-74.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all&amp;w=512 512w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\"\/><figcaption>The accountant also testified that he didn\u2019t know that former Trump Organization CFO Allen Weisselberg was receiving off-the-books perks.<\/figcaption><figcaption><span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Mazars prepped the Trump Org\u2019s taxes until it split with the real estate company in February after finding that statements the ex-president made about his financials were unreliable. <\/p>\n<p>Bender said he also personally handled the taxes for ex-Trump Org CFO Allen Weisselberg for several years. <\/p>\n<p>He denied being aware that the company allegedly paid the exec cushy perks for 12 years \u2013 including rent, utilities, parking garage fees, thousands in Christmas tips to his doorman and furniture for his Florida home.<\/p>\n<p>Hoffinger asked how Bender was sure that he\u2019d never seen evidence of the alleged off-the-books compensation for Weisselberg and other top managers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBecause I probably would\u2019ve had a heart attack,\u201d Bender responded.<\/p>\n<p>The Trump Org is accused of cheating tax authorities for 15 years by funding the top company execs with the unreported extra compensation. If found guilty, the company could face $1.6 million in fines. Trump is not personally charged in the case.<\/p>\n<p>Weisselberg testified last week as the star prosecution witness claiming it was his \u201cown personal greed that let to this case.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He copped to taking $1.7 million in perks that he didn\u2019t report on his taxes, including rent on an Upper West Side apartment, luxury cars and tuition for his grandkids private school.
