The office implements policies for \u201cequity of access\u201d to technology.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201c[Democracy is] also built on white supremacy, which I see perpetuated in education circles when\u00a0BIPOC folx\u00a0are being told they\u2019re too negative by addressing real issues instead of superlatives,\u201d she said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Ishmael responded to a tweet which claimed the Evangelical church welcomed \u201chate\u201d and \u201cwhite supremacy\u201d into its institution.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>She replied, \u201cAmen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fox News Digital asked the Department of Education whether Ishmael displayed a bias against\u00a0Evangelical Christians\u00a0but did not receive a response. F*ck yes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFatphobia is real. The \u2018ideal\u2019 weight, shape &amp; look is white supremacy baked into our everyday lives. I\u2019m so over it. We deserve more than diets,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Ishmael is a self-declared fan of\u00a0Ibram X. Many white people will question why it should be changed,\u201d she said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Ishmael has also said that \u201cwhite supremacy\u201d is baked into classroom rules.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>She said, \u201cSo if I\u2019m on a webinar with professionals speaking\u2026 should I also share Zoom rules with them to remind them of no gum chewing, muting mics, etc.? Oh, that\u2019s right, NO! And we shouldn\u2019t with CHILDREN either\u2026 Can\u2019t help but see the white supremacy built into the \u2018rules\u2019 I\u2019ve seen floating around.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fox News Digital previously reported that\u00a0another Biden official at the DOE\u00a0\u2013 Kayla Patrick \u2013 claimed that \u201cschool discipline\u201d is part of a \u201cracist system,\u201d blaming so-called \u201cwhiteness,\u201d while she worked for a left-wing education organization.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized is-style-default\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/11\/doe-director-white-supremacy-571.jpg?w=1024\" alt=\"Ibram X. In 2021, she said, \u201cschool discipline\u00a0is a symptom of a racist and punitive system that often fails to see children as children.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cInstead of helping students to learn and grow from mistakes, educators send them into the office, or send them home, or even sometimes\u00a0call the police. And Black students are more likely to be offended, affected by that,\u201d she said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Ishmael has also criticized white people for not voting for Biden.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>She said, \u201cDear fellow white people, defending the percentage of us that did\u00a0vote for Biden\u00a0is not helpful right now. Read the room.
