Class will be back in session soon!!\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The movie event of the summer isn\u2019t even a movie \u2014 but it\u2019s packed with A-list star power.<\/p>\n<p>Dane Cook is presenting \u201cFeelin\u2019 A-Live,\u201d a virtual live table read of \u201cFast Times at Ridgemont High,\u201d which will stream Friday at 8 p.m. ET and 5 p.m. PST. Jimmy Kimmel and Brad Pitt will be joining Jennifer Aniston, John Legend, Julia Roberts, Morgan Freeman, Shia LaBeouf, Matthew McConaughey, Sean Penn, Ray Liotta and Henry Golding in the unrehearsed reading of the 1982 comedy classic.<\/p>\n<p>The original air date was set for August 20, but was rescheduled to avoid conflict with Joe Biden\u2019s speech at the Democratic National Convention.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUpon realizing \u2018Feelin\u2019 A-Live\u2019 was programmed opposite the DNC\u2019s final night, we felt it was best to let the convention have its own evening, and then we\u2019ll have ours,\u201d said Cook in a statement. \u201cLuckily, we were able to shift around some schedules \u2014 and add some stellar new cast members \u2014 so we\u2019re thrilled to now get to kick off your weekend with a Friday night broadcast.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Where_you_can_stream_it\"><\/span>Where you can stream it<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The free virtual event will take place on <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Facebook<\/a> Live and TikTok on Community Organized Relief Effort\u2019s (CORE) official pages. It will also stream via LiveXLive.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFast Times at Ridgemont High\u201d is a semi-autobiographical film, penned by Cameron Crowe, following a group of high-school students in southern California and their lives and loves. It has been praised for its accurate depiction of being a teenager in the early \u201980s.<\/p>\n<p>The film just celebrated the 38th anniversary of its August 13, 1982 release. The movie\u2019s cast included Sean Penn, Phoebe Cates, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Judge Reinhold and Forest Whitaker.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Special_guest_appearances\"><\/span>Special guest appearances<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Viewers will have to tune-in live to see which character each actor will portray \u2014\u00a0 but Penn has said he will not be reprising his role as surfer dude Jeff Spicoli.<\/p>\n<p>Original \u201cFast Times\u201d director Amy Heckerling and Crowe will make a special introduction at the event.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m honored that so many talented, wonderful people are willing to get together to celebrate our movie, and to create their own special version of it,\u201d Heckerling said in a statement about the reading.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThank you to this cast, and to Sean, for always honoring the best things in life, love and creativity. CORE was founded by Penn and CEO Ann Lee, fighting against COVID-19 and providing testing and relief in the United States. REFORM Alliance was launched last year by a group of high-profile people, including Jay-Z and Meek Mill.
