Blige, Mariah Carey and N.O.R.E., respectively. The simple act of borrowing from songs from the \u201990s and early 2000s show that these younger artists respect the classics, he said.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mobile outerAdHatch\">\n<div class=\"ad-border\">\n<div class=\"innerAdHatch\">\n<div id=\"contentUnit200\" class=\"adUnits\" inserted=\"shortcode\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Busta added that seeing music from their era be brought back to life also inspires artists from his generation to take a bigger interest in the new crop of talent.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s a long list of shit that the new artists is doing over, so they obviously feel the need to tap in with the timeless greatness,\u201d Busta Rhymes explained. \u201cIf that\u2019s your way of paying homage, we salute it. But even beyond that, we just like the fact that y\u2019all think it\u2019s dope enough to do it on your own. But if you don\u2019t look the part in the current time and space, a lil\u2019 ni\u2014a is going to look at you and be like, \u201cWe respect you, OG, but I don\u2019t know if I\u2019m going to listen to you. The only reason why I share it is because I\u2019ve went through the roundtable councilmen that\u2019s gonna thumb it up or thumb it down. Because I know what it means to f\u2013k up the classic. N-ggas don\u2019t let you live that shit down, you\u2019ll hear it forever. \u2018You fucked up the classic, bozo!
