“#Kamala Harris reportedly duped by Russian pranksters posing as Greta Thunberg<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

\n Democratic vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris was reportedly duped into a phone call with a pair of infamous Russian pranksters who posed as teen environmental activist Greta Thunberg offering up dirt on President Trump.<\/p>\n

The hoax call between the California senator and comedia<\/a>ns Vladimir \u201cVovan\u201d Kuznetsov and Alexey \u201cLexus\u201d Stolyarov happ<\/a>ened after Harris dropped out of the Democratic presidential race in December, The Sun reported Friday.<\/p>\n

Audio of the three-minute and 38-second call was published by the news<\/a> outlet \u2014 and in it Harris is heard greeting \u201cGreta\u201d and telling her, \u201cCongratulations on all your leadership.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m so inspired by your courage and your voice,\u201d Harris tells the fake, who she believes to be Thunberg, according to the audio recording.<\/p>\n

At one point during the call, the faux Thunberg tells Harris that she is \u201cterrified\u201d of \u201cwhat Trump is doing,\u201d and explains that she \u201ccannot sleep or eat when I see him on TV.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cGreta\u201d then says she had \u201cnightmares\u201d about \u201cthat terrible meeting\u201d at the United Nations headquarters in September.<\/p>\n

\u201cI saw him [Trump] in the corridor and shouted to him to sign the Paris climate agreement. He came over and he said softly, \u2018You will never achieve the goal,\u2019\u201d the fraudster tells Harris.<\/p>\n

Harris interjects, \u201cNo, but Greta, do not be discouraged. You have the ability to see what is possible in a way that many do not and there will be people who are going to work against progress.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat is always the case \u2014 always in history there have been people who work against progress,\u201d Harris said. \u201cListen, nothing that has been about progress came without a fight. That is the nature of it.\u201d<\/p>\n

The prankster then says, \u201cBut it is very sick to behave like that \u2014 I mean President Trump.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYes,\u201d Harris replied. \u201cAnd it is similar to previous times in history when some people could not imagine how things can be different and then leaders did imagine and could see and lead. You have been a great leader \u2014 do not be deterred.\u201d<\/p>\n

One of the jokesters posing as Thunberg\u2019s father, Svante, on the call tells Harris that the faux teen \u201chas a recorder always with her\u201d and that it picked up the bogus interaction with Trump.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was on Greta\u2019s recorder. If you would like to get it, we can provide it,\u201d the man says.<\/p>\n

The fake Greta chimes in, \u201cMaybe this recording can help you,\u201d to which Harris responds: \u201cThank you. That would be wonderful.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI can testify against this terrible man,\u201d the trickster tells Harris, who replied, \u201cYes, definitely, thank you so much.\u201d<\/p>\n

Before Harris moved to end the call, she said an aide \u201cwill follow up with you and we will stay in touch and work together. I look forward to working with you.\u201d<\/p>\n

The man then told Harris that they were in Canada and would be in the US soon.<\/p>\n

\u201cOh good, we should make a plan then. I would like that,\u201d Harris said.<\/p>\n

During an earlier point in the call, the fake Greta asked Harris what the \u201cbest way\u201d to \u201csupport\u201d Harris in her campaign would be.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe best way to do it would be to talk about my climate plan,\u201d Harris said.<\/p>\n

This week Harris was formally nominated as Joe Biden\u2019s running mate at the Democratic National Convention.<\/p>\n

A Biden-Harris campaign spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment by The Post regarding the prank call.<\/p>\n

The pair of Russian jokesters behind the hoax have previously duped Prince Harry and Sen. Bernie Sanders by posing as Thunberg.<\/p>\n
