CoinList addresses &#8216;FUD&#8217; on withdrawals, cites technical issues for delays &#8220;<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h1>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/images.cointelegraph.com\/images\/840_aHR0cHM6Ly9zMy5jb2ludGVsZWdyYXBoLmNvbS91cGxvYWRzLzIwMjItMTEvYzk2ZDVlMmMtMGUwMS00ZTU5LWI3ZWMtZjM3MjgyZDQyMjc3LmpwZw==.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<div class=\"post-content\" data-v-5129e2ea>Cryptocurrency exchange and Initial Coin Offering (ICO) platform CoinList took to <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a> to address \u201cFUD\u201d after a blogger tweeted that users reported being unable to withdraw funds for over a week, sparking fears the company was having liquidity issues or w insolvent.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is a lot of FUD going around that we would like to address head-on,\u201d CoinList said in a Nov. 24 Twitter <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CoinList\/status\/1595851318236794882\">thread<\/a> that stated the exchange is \u201cnot insolvent, illiquid, or near bankruptcy.\u201d It said however that its deposits and withdrawals are affected by \u201ctechnical issues.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">2\/ We are upgrading our internal ledger systems and are migrating wallet addresses involving multiple custodians.<\/p>\n<p>This is one of many efforts we are undertaking to offer our customers around the world better products and services while maintaining compliance.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 CoinList (@CoinList) <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CoinList\/status\/1595851320400953344?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 24, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>Crypto-focused blogger Colin Wu had earlier <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/WuBlockchain\/status\/1595751967581933570\">tweeted<\/a> to his 245,000 followers that \u201csome community members\u201d using CoinList have been unable to withdraw for over a week due to maintenance.<\/p>\n<p>CoinList has a $35 million creditor claim with bankrupt crypto hedge fund Three Arrows Capital which Wu said in his tweet was a \u201closs,\u201d that likely triggered concerns the company was insolvent or illiquid.<\/p>\n<p>Looking to dampen fears that have seen bank runs on other platforms, CoinList explained that an upgrade to its internal systems and a migration of wallet addresses that involves \u201cmultiple custodians\u201d is being undertaken.<\/p>\n<p>The company cited unexplained \u201ccustodian issues\u201d as the reason a selection of cryptocurrencies \u201care taking longer than anticipated to migrate\u201d with one of its unnamed custodian partners suffering from an \u201coutage [&#8230;] unrelated to the migration\u201d on Nov. 23 which impacted tokens on the platform.<\/p>\n<p>Its status <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/status.coinlist.co\/\">page<\/a> shows \u201cdegraded performance\u201d for withdrawals, with four cryptocurrencies unavailable for withdrawal since Nov. 15, and one experiencing delayed deposits since Nov. 16.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOnce again, this is purely a technical issue, not a liquidity crunch,\u201d CoinList said. It claimed to hold \u201call user assets dollar for dollar\u201d and noted it plans to publish its proof of reserves.<\/p>\n<p>Cointelegraph has contacted CoinList for more information but did not immediately receive a response.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Related: <\/em><\/strong><strong><em>FTX illustrated why banks need to take over cryptocurrency<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>CoinList <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CoinList\/status\/1592276403722260480\">claimed<\/a> on Nov. 14 that it had no exposure to the now-bankrupt FTX exchange, but users are increasingly nervous about centralized platforms and have rushed to ensure safe custody of their assets as evidenced by the surge in sales reported in mid-November by hardware wallet providers Trezor and Ledger.<\/p>\n<p>Around the same time, outflows of Bitcoin (BTC) and stablecoins from exchanges hit historic highs and a corresponding uptick in activity was seen on decentralized exchanges.<\/p>\n<p><template data-name=\"subscription_form\" data-type=\"markets_outlook\"><\/template><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
