Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>s, even financing lower-priced goods, according to new data on Thanksgiving spending.<\/p>\n<p>Spending on such apps rose 1.3% on Thanksgiving, according to Adobe, while the average order value for purchases made with the apps declined 6%, according to Salesforce data.<\/p>\n<p>Buy-now-pay-later apps like Affirm, Afterpay and Klarna \u201cstarted as a way to finance bigger ticket items but have morphed into everyday purchases and for lower priced gifts as consumers think about the economy and their personal finances,\u201d  Salesforce vice president of retail Rob Garf told The Post. <\/p>\n<p>At the same time, retailers are ramping up their discounts, with the average markdown reaching 31% versus 29% last year, Salesforce reports.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter lackluster deals earlier in the season, retailers have now stepped up their discount <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a> to pre-pandemic levels,\u201d Garf added.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/11\/black-friday-macys-shoppers-02-shopper.jpg?w=1024\" alt=\"A shopper examining jewelry.\" class=\"wp-image-24784321\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/11\/black-friday-macys-shoppers-02-shopper.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all&amp;w=1535 1536w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/11\/black-friday-macys-shoppers-02-shopper.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all 1024w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/11\/black-friday-macys-shoppers-02-shopper.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all&amp;w=512 512w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\"\/><figcaption>Black Friday spending is expected to increase by 1% compared to last year, according to Adobe.<\/figcaption><figcaption><span class=\"credit\">AP<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Discounts on toys were among the highest \u2014 as The Post previously reported \u2014 peaking at 34% off the listed price, followed by 24% off on electronics and computers and 14% off appliances and apparel, according to Adobe, which analyses online consumer transactions.<\/p>\n<p>Online demand for strollers surged 133% on Nov. 24 \u2014 compared to the average daily sales in October \u2014 while demand for outdoor grills was up 131%.
